mine is not that new but it was a finer model when i got it.......says it plays a lot of formats like svcd , vcd , cd-r/w but its not listed that it plays dvd-rs so im not sure

an older dvd player that I have that doesn't say anything about being able to play dvd-rs has played every single one that I have tested.
