certain blogs are bw hogs. be careful what one you use.

Search for any celeb on the engines...you'll see lots of celeb blogs...lol.

movie gallery posts, thumbnailgalleryposts, paysites, forums, galleries, free sites,...oh and a few other dozen adult websites that KILL blogs in bandwidth.

I personally never experienced anythingout of the ordinary as far as bandwidth goes

Does anyone use the blogger.com to write their blogs? How does the traffic compare to having your own domain name hosted by you against running your blog on blogger.com?

Yes I have some, but I only update one of them and not that often. I want to start something new and worth bookmarking, but most blogs I can find are not worth it, they were just created to grab those google top spots. I know fleshbot is very good, but I would like to know some smaller quality celeb blogs :upsidedow

Blogs are a great traffic generation... my site is a adult babe blog, and its been up and running alittle under 2 months, and ive had it up to 35,000 visitors a day, leveling off at 20,000+ its not hard...

What do you think of Blog City? I grabbed a blog someone dropped and I'm enjoying it, but the only system I ever used was blogger.

My personal opinion is to always use your own server. If you host at blogspot or many other free hosting services for blog you will find that you cant upload images to them. So that REALLY hinders what you can do on them.

There is no advantage to hosting on the freeservers. If your gonna take time to set up a site and take the time to build links and traffic to it. Why do it on someone elses domain?

Last week when this thread popped up I was inspired . . . I have been hearing the blog buzz for some time and this gave me the kick in the ass that was needed. So I took one of my more brandable domains and installed wordpress and got the tweaking.

Mind you this domain was empty prior to my building with the exception of 2 submitted galleries . . . so traffic was nil.

The site went live on monday . . . today stats report a total of 20000+ page views and 9000 uniques. This is in one week folks. I did nothing special other than design a site that everyone would like and it seems the word of mouth on it has done the deed

Needless to say it has pulled 30 AFF sales . . . only totaled at 5 bucks or so . . . but I am using the revshare on that. 3 sales over at OC Cash, 2 sales over at coinscuties.com and 1 sales with dubcash.

With a little marketing wizardry these things can take off over night.
