Firstly you obviously didn't watch the last episode of Black Adder or you would know that yes, it was careful to honour the people. Secondly, it was using a back drop of a war as a story telling device. There is a difference between that (aka the Producers) and just thinking 'hey Nazis are cool..I will dress up as one of those'

I understand somewhat where you are coming from. There are many horrible things that have happened over time. I guess the thing that gets me is that the Holocaust is so recent that there are still people alive who directly suffered from the events. To have an heir to the throne wear a uniform that downplays what they went through, is a harsh slap in the face.

okay..follow me here...at some point when he was thinking up costumes he had to think 'wow, you know what would be great!? If I dressed up as a Nazi'. Now, most of us don't have that switch that would ever say to us 'put on a Nazi outfit'.

Does he have such leanings? I don't know him to be able to say but he obviously is missing the good taste gene. WHICH is all this has been about for me.

Maybe missing the good taste gene, but its not unusual, the British arnt known always for good taste in humor. I think the gene he is missing is more like the "common sense" gene. He should have known the papers would have been all over this in a minute.
