Sarah said her friends would kick someones ass who showed up at a party with Nazi gear on. You said she should find better friends. I asked you if that meant you supported Nazis.

Not sure what your response has to do with anything...

Well basically, im saying,

SHE SHOULD FIND SOME FRIENDS THAT ARENT FUCKIN PSYCHOS

Then you asked some gay question about whether i supported the nazi's, which is slightly offensive, since i come from a country that actually fought in the war, not just turned up at the end to get all the glory.....

LOL ... what a fucking card he is!

I see he has not lost touch with his family roots (research 'the' monarchy and the history of England or that of the Queen's ancestors and maybe you will understand).

I laugh (even with knowing the anniversary of the Holocaust is just around the corner) because it is a merely a joke.
He is at a costume party!
He is only human!
Humanity/society has supposedly evolved so should be able to handle the joke.
Cut him some slack for fuck sakes, and no, he does not need an advisor - he is merely the prince of a dying monarch. Who really cares? I bet the British do not.

okay, firstly my friends are possibly the least violent people many are likely to meet so perhaps it would be a verbal kicking but the point was that there are things that are unacceptable in most circles and making light on the holocaust is one of them. If I had a party and someone came dressed as hitler I would hope my friends would question that person. If you wouldn't then that is your choice but I have standards and that be one of them.

secondly..i also said I knew that was correct but my statement about Harry was more general in that he would have been pushed aside and treated as the mental midget he is. If it was William then yes, they would have kissed his ass until someone tried to kill him to take over his position..possibly Harry's group of men, etc.

Exactly, apart from the newspapers and TV who are just running a story to make money out of it. I havnt met one person in Britian who gives a shit.

But you'll always find a few who like beating people up for wearing fancy dress costumes apparantly :upsidedow

Pirates are a far cry from horrors that took place at Death Camps under Nazi watch. I don't think it's psycho to want to kick someones ass for supporting the actions that took place. A Nazi supporter is on the same level as a pedophile in my book. But that's just my opinion.

I havent met 1 single person who gives a toss (except you, and entropy, who clearly cant form an opinion of his own), no ones even bothering to talk about it.

I still am not able to understand the mainstream mentality: with their right-hand they place a person (celebrities) on a pedestal for all to look up to while with the left they try their hardest to tarnish what the hold so dear.

Do you know Harry personally? Seems to me that you are the moron. The only thing we have to judge people on are their actions. If I wore a KKK outfit to a party, I would expect people to think I was racist. That is just how the world works.

Can't form an opinion of my own? I think I've made my opinion clear. I started the thread. Noone is bothering to talk about it? I didn't fill these 3 pages by myself.

well apparently you feel strongly enough against it to make an issue and I don't think I am the one that started the thread. However, this is a discussion board and as such when a topic comes up people are more likely to talk about it here than they would be if they randomly met someone in the street.

Do I think this is the most pressing issue in the UK at the moment? Hell no. However, some one brought it up and I am afraid you are never going to get me to agree that it wasn't a stupid move AND that a 20 year old should have enough brain power to know that.

if you wore it to a fancy dress party, i wouldnt think you were racist. In the same way that you wore a pirate outfit i wouldnt think you were a pirate. If he had dressed up like a viking, would anyone have cared? Maybe im asking the wrong person?

Anyone ever dress up like a Frenchman? Oh, how fucking dare you! Do you not know that they were among the first to assist with the loading of the trains.

Drive a Porsche? How fucking dare you! Do you not know ?they? worked for the Nazis?

Like to front like an old school 'G' (Uh, Italian gangster)? How fucking dare you! Do you not know the fascists aided the Hermans (not a typo)?

So where does it end?

Yes, what happened was horrible, but we need to move on, as well not forget there have been worse actions throughout earths history, but nobody gets bent out of shape at the site of a person dressed like a Christian (think the crusade era).

Judging from this thread, I'd say you're asking the wrong nationality. It appears that there is a large discrepency between the way Europeans view this issue as opposed to Americans. Walk into 99% of parties here in a Nazi uniform and the shit would hit the fan.

I am sure the main reason for crap smacking the blades is not because they are sympathizers but rather the large percentage of neo-nazi (white power, kkk, and the rest of the dumbass purists) organizations as well the many many many Christian collectives that reside there.

Who gives a fuck about the war. What kind of response is that? This is about HUMAN BEINGS. Human beings who were marched into gas chambers as though they had no value. Human beings who watched in horror as their children were taken to be experimented on in the name of "science". Experiments that included being frozen alive, sewn together without anethesia, having acid dropped into eyes in an effort to change eye color, among many other things...It's about the millions of human beings who watched their family members brutally murdered before their very eyes. It about the potential lost over race.

Yet, you don't seem to grasp the levity of it all. I will NEVER support what you're preaching...

Dude, no one is saying that what the nazzis did wasnt wrong. What we are saying is that if someone wears a nazzi costume to a fancy dress party, we wouldnt think they were a nazzi, just like if someone wore a pirate costume we wouldnt think they were a pirate and with reference to the kkk outfit, if someone wore one to a fancy dress party we wouldnt think they were members of the kkk. Its called irony.

Harrys mistake wasnt that he decided to come out to the world that he was a member of the nazzi party, his mistake was not knowing how the politicle correct newspapers and television wouldnt find another reason to splash him over the front pages.

It was a misjudgment of error by someone who should have known better. It wasnt a statement against the people who died in the war

Nor was the Black Adda series about the trenches in the first world war, but it was still funny

Nor was the "Dont mention the war" scetch in faulty towers, but it was still funny

Nor were millions of jokes and send up about past wars in history, but we still make light of them.

Do we need to be so politicle correct that we cant express humor anymore?

I know what you are saying and I suppose the answer is that distance is a powerful healer but in the scheme of things there has been very much distance between the acts of the nazis and now. Yeah, I know how that sounds but it is true. See, I guess what I don't get is intentionally doing things that you (general you) know will deeply hurt some people. What is the point? It is that lack of 'filter' that I question and especially from someone from a family where there is no excuse not to know history - it is his family history!

Firstly you obviously didn't watch the last episode of Black Adder or you would know that yes, it was careful to honour the people. Secondly, it was using a back drop of a war as a story telling device. There is a difference between that (aka the Producers) and just thinking 'hey Nazis are cool..I will dress up as one of those'

Oh do I love Rowan, and Basil (always you hheet me ... no-no, iz ham-ster not rat), especially his little 'walk', but I best not mention the name of it.

Similar to the way some religious groups view sex is how this looks to me. Some can laugh and make jokes while others run from the mere mention.

OK now your talking shit. When and where did Prince harry says Nazzis are cool? !!

We wasnt there we dont know why he did it, but some of us think it may have been a silly fancy dress idea, where as you are determined for no reason to start saying that he did it because he thinks Nazzis are cool.

Please show me where Harry said Nazzis are cool?
