My pimp hand was strong with 3 Player Cards. I think there were a couple people that appreciated that I had extras to loan them.

I see. I had read someone mention Sleazy before but I had assumed that he was being blamed again like he gets blamed for everything on this board. That was messed up not only that he did it, but he didn't even have the decency to appologize.

WHAT THE FUCK?

I'm asuming you were the idiot who was sreaming at me about how important you were and would't let me past cause I was approved in by the bouncers and you weren't. I remember someone there who kept going on and on and on and on about how important they were and whinning why I was allowed in and not them. It was really pathetic.

Is this you attempt at trying to be a big man? Some kind of revenge thread thing? I had loafers on, I SERIOUSY doubt I stepped on your wife's foot, I think I would have noticed, but I'm Not going to say it isn't impossible. If I hurt someone I SINCIRLY apologise. The line was HORRIBLE.

I will say you didn't have the DECENCY to move aside when I was allowed in and YOU weren't and you kept crying about that. Grow the fuck UP. I was supposed to be presenting and I arrived with one of the sponsers, not a vip pass like you had. We called people who mattered and they pointed us out of the crowd and let us in. If you knew anyone you could have done the same, but you just decided you wouldn't let anyone in before ALMIGHTY and all important you.

You hold the most Player Cards. Winning contests paid off, and it happened on GFY.

Sykk. Dude, sue. It will be an easy win. I would recommend small claims court so he can't use his money to hire a lawyer. If he doesn't show up, it will be a default judgment then have the judge submit the papers to the State Dept.

I really wanted to check out Evan DJ and Cypress Hill but alas I was one of those 100-200 people that gave up trying to get in. Venue bouncers didn't know what the players card even was and the VIP passes were being declined as well. I'll check out the post production videos though and I heard from people that got in it was great.

Hey D!

You've got 2 of mine that we weren't able to pick up as well, would love to have

We just got home..... The Players Ball was definately the greatest event of Internext and I want to thank you for hooking us up. We took tons of awesome pics and I'll post to this thread for you as soon as I get them dumped and sorted out.

Was a crazy night.... really kicked ass The only problem I had was all the dumbasses on the dance floor near the stage that wouldn't let girls through ( got drinks intentionally poured on me, feet stomped and Jake had to continue to hold back the fools to keep off of me and my girls. ) I was appalled that guys acted like that, especially to girls that just wanted to get in front of them and dance. But..... regardless, the entire night was unmatched and you did an awesome job in putting things together. Thanks baby !!!

Shout outs to Bdjuf and his boys in pic below...we rocked the hell out of the limo on the way to the Players Ball and I really hated they didn't get in to keep partying with us ! Love you guys !

KISSES
Ivy

Not to but in but FYI this kinda of bullshit breaks Dmoney's heart.

He threw the best players ball yet in my opinion and I worked with closely behind the scenes with em threw out. They guy puts his heart and soul into throwing this thing.

A friend of mine took a bottle to the head and still left the Players Ball in good spirits. Take it to the phone and talk this negative shit out.

Everyone that wanted to get and everyone that was inside the Players Ball this year was important. End of story. I had a great time this year taping the whole thing, I will see what I can do to get some video up for people to check out if ya werent there

D-Money,

Having been one of the sponsors back in the day in 1999 in Miami, I have to say that this has been the without any doubt, the best party you have thrown.

The Player's Card is an excellent idea, and helped in moving in line much quicker.

Thanks for a great time, Macdaddybucks.com had a blast!

Exactly...It was a shamble and poorly ran event.

reality is - there are levels of importance at these kind of events. In a capitalist society like ours - it's determined by sponsership, ie cash. .You can be a communist and say everyone's a vip - but it's bullshit. Life doesn't work like that.

no fucking way should someone who paid $10k or $20K or more have to wait in the crowd like everyone else - they PAID for a better experience.

D-Money has the SHOW down pat - it's awesome - he NEEDS to put some more focus on the door. He knows this and he knows a LOT of people, and i mean a LOT of people were very pissed about the door. There isn't any excuse for this - if you can't trust the venue's security - BRING YOUR OWN. Don't trust any venue's security anymore, take controll of it and do it YOURSELF. NOT HARD. so what if the security is doubled up - it's now a NECESSITY as this has been a recuring problem.

There was a LOT of people there who were not in the industry - the industry PAID for an event with us in the industry - why were outsiders there? (hot girls aside- they should always be let in as vips). Once again - door problem

D-money - FIX the fucking door problem and you'll have a flawless event. it means spending more on security - but the door is everything to a LOT of people and the only real complaint I'm hearing, but i'm hearing a LOT of them about the door.

I'm in total agreeance with you, believe it or not

I was there as a guest of a sponsor as were you apparently
I realize the guys with Player's Cards had priority as well as sponsors and all the other passes had VIP stamped on them.

priority should always be: artist, sponsor, VIP, attendee

I realize D-Money can't be everywhere at once.

There should be an industry person at the door who knows pretty much everybody, so sponsors can get in. Artists should have their own private entrance and it probably wouldn't hurt to have a sponsor entrance if possible.

I apologize for making this thread into a negative with my attacks on Sleazy as everyone did have a good time once they got in.

maybe next year Sleazy and I can work the door together??

I hear you, no doubt the show is tight and the door problems break my heart. Here's the thing. I've hired people to over look security teams in the past and still got screwed with security. I can't bring in a bunch of unlicensed security people to work a venue in Vegas, doesn't work that way. If I hired a team in Vegas, how do I know they wouldn't be the same way? The security team was subbed out by the venue, as we did it last year. What happened here is simple, their security team didn't have everything the way I went over it with the manager. Last year, we had the same security team and it was flawless, so I had every reason to believe this year would be too. The difference is that they have a different manager, and she appearantly didn't pay attention to those important details we went over many times.

I will continue to put extra efforts into the lines and security. The Players Card and same venue I would have thought should be sufficient, especially since I kept the team the same, minus a manager of the venue.

Then, when you have big time talents performing, it gets super complicated, but they were my second concern. I chose to fish people inside and chase around security and managers so the guests and sponsors would be happy. I was getting in the faces of all security people demanding people get in, and they weren't budging unless I sent over the GM. Now try and run through that crowd, people trying to stop you every 2 seconds, half of them had other fires that needed to be put out, it's not easy. Sometimes it works perfect, most of the time it does not. But I have had 2 perfect evenings with the doors in Vegas. 2002 C2K @ the Venetian was perfect and 2004 same venue as last year was perfect. My logic on this was strong, but it was not in the cards. If it worked last year, keep it the same and add more people to help out with the addition of Player Cards, it should have worked.

Sorry again to those players that didn't get inside, I think the best thing I can do to make it up to you is send you Player Cards. It did work, not perfectly due to the lack of crowd control by their security, but people are happy that the Player Cards got them and their friends inside much faster.

I'll give up to 300 more Player Cards to those people who had major issues getting in. I'll post it this week and re-open the Player Card form. Or I'll do it by emailing me.

Hopefully next year we'll have no problems with door people again.

the only real thing i can suggest D-money is to have a few people at the door that know the indusrty players - guys like AaronM or the like that know most everyone. Pay him to work the door WITH the security. He can keep OUT the idiots and make sure industry gets in.

I agree and not just for the Players ball but for all the events where there is non industry people running the door. I personally would volunteer an hour or maybe two to doing this. I'm sure others would as well.

in my pre-porn life, I was a concert/event promoter
I've dealt with my share of bonehead security

at one festival show, I even fired the secruity guards halfway through and hired a couple bikers to work the door and manage the crowds and had no troubles the rest of the event (I was busy juggling 15 bands and 5,000+ fans and a poorly trained security force and had to do something)

I've always emphathized with D-Money on running such an event and my advice has always been to hire a few more bodies to oversee things like security, the door, artist care, etc. so he can concentrate on putting on a damn good party...it's too much for one person to handle by themselves..
hell, I used to struggle with a staff of 15+ ;-)

Reading about all this door trouble... I'm glad we did what we did. We actually went into the lounge before the show was started and had a couple drinks. We were told that we would eventually get kicked out for the show, but never were. Heh, probably not what D-Money wanted to hear but it ended up working out great for us.

something else that might also help, while I am giving unsolicited advice (and this is for other industry parties as well): have different colored passes for each level.

example:
artist/management/guest pass is red
sponsor/guest is green
VIP is purple
general is blue

or something to that effect. It'll make it easier for security to spot and makes it easier to divide people into lines.

this is something we did back in the day with our festival shows to help problems with rent-a-cops

There was something like that. I had both a sponsor and a VIP pass and they were different colors. I think the artist pass was different too, but I can't say for sure.

the sponsor passes had the wording underneath that said
NATS SUITE PASS
sponsored by
NATS, Merchant Solutions and Men's Niche

but the color if the passes was the same as the regular ones...
when we used to do it in the old days, the whole pass was different

i didn't see the artist's passes, so not sure if they were different colors or not

VIP was green.

Suite passes were purple, and so was All Access.

Artists were red.

I'm telling you, I'm pretty on it, sometimes a plan gets fucked up when security get egos and take over their ideas upon us.
