The Players Ball was one of the best ones ever, from a performance perspective.

However, my main concern is for the sponsors and I have to give an apology for the disorganization of the management at the venue. We had meetings and we went over simple things like seating charts and they got a few tables fucked up and some weren't even on the list. I promise you I gave them the right details, they're gonna hear from me today about that. I tried my hardest last night to over come the line problems and many other fires I was busy putting out all night. Last year we didn't have any issues with this venue, but this year it is under a new management team, they were overwhelmed. Just know that I tried my hardest, and at times when I was on stage during performances, it was to manage the stage and get fools out of the way of the artists. If KB and I weren't up there, we wouldn't of had a performance by the artists, there were too many people jamming on stage. I kind of felt like my hands were tied with making sure the performances went off.

The show was awesome, but for me, if the venue isn't on top of their game, things can look ugly at times.

I'd also like to thank NATS for their continued support, I know they had some issues with the venue as well and I'm going to try my best to make sure I understand exactly what happened. I'll be in touch in the next day or 2 with NATS to compare notes and see what was going on upstairs.

Other bad things included the sound company cutting off the mic as I was trying to plug the hell out of our sponsors, I waited on stage with a dead mic in my hand, fortunately I did get all sponsors plugs throughout the night.

The door was jammed, we probably lost 100 to 200 people that gave up, the venue controls the doors and I tried my best to fish as many people in and get those lines moving.

The Players Cards helped a ton of people get through the line much faster, but it was hard to penetrate through that mob of people.

We had some damage, someone fucked up an antique bench that will cost me thousands of dollars, so I'm pretty pissed off at whoever fucked that bench up, not cool. It was demolished.

The show was tight and the crowd was hyped all night, can't wait to see the video. Our sponsors will receive some great post production video support to help off set the issues during the night, this footage will blow people away so I have a feeling the branding of these clips will get some eye balls for my pimps.

MTV loved the party and shot great footage. AlternativeCash.com sported a little private party in their suite, MTV shot great pre-party content.

Did I mention DMC from RunDMC was in the house? I spoke with him for a while and loved every second of it. He's a legend, very cool he showed.

Now webmasters, don't feel so bad if you couldn't get through the mess, celebs could get through either. Coolio, Chingy and Gorilla Black came and left when they couldn't get in.

The Woody Awards got rushed because Cypress needed to get on stage, but I still got to read off all of the winners and a few winners got to speak and say their thanks.

This party was probably the best Ball over all, maybe tied with the Snoop Dogg Players Ball.

I think you covered some of the issues I had ;-)

my biggest issue is with a fat fucking piece of shit "webmaster" who trampled his way through the crowd bellowing "SPONSOR!" while stepping on two SMALL women. You know who you are you piece of shit and how about eating a couple slimfast bars??
Tarpy and Pattyecake can also vouch for this fucking piece of shit...

sorry to rant in your thread, D-Money. Luckily, I recognized one of the doormen from when he used to work at the Hard Rock and he helped get us through the crowd (we had sponsor suite passes thanks to the kickass folks at NATS). Uh, then we got in and found the complications they had. But, it was still a great show once people were able to get inside (after security did this crazy thing called "forming people into a line" ;-)).

Next time, I'd suggest have a bullhorn though for outside so people standing out in the line in the freezing cold at least have an idea of what was going on...

I can't even remember what happened last night, I was walking in a special cloud all night long. Cypress Hill was so fucking hot. I was so impressed. And Digital Underground did one of their best Players Ball performances ever.

I've gotta give a shout to a few peeps.
D$ ... love you man. You are truly one of the flyest white pimps I know.
KB - Stop wearing that suit.
Sean CCBill - thanks for the shots and drink. It brought me well needed relief.
Chronic Avenger - You know you my dog. The Purple Nurple and Herowana make good friends.
Peter Kusner - one of my favorite peeps from back home in Cleveland. I like you more than KB and D$ Plus you roll with some cool guys and smokin' hot chicks. Tell Rebecca I love her
DJ Evan - sorry for breaking your pimp cups cherry. You spun mad tunes bro.

There are plenty of others that made the night awesome.

Preach

As many people may think that its easy to throw something like that, if they only knew. Throwing a party that size and organizing it is about a years work all for one day. Trust me, i know.

Good job D.

And to all the sponsors, you guys rock.

Thanks D$....... Mobbucks had an awesome time.......Good job..

Oh yea, we had a great time handing out cash money for free at the bathrooms..... Hope everyone got some......

Only complaint I had is they would not let us go back upstairs to the bathroooms to put some banners in the bathrooms and hand out cash and goodies..... But thats all good, we hit the downstairs bathrooms hard....

hey, another souvenir from the show...
my wife ended up with a fractured foot and didn't bother telling me about the pain until we got home because she didn't want to ruin my night...

actually this isn't so much a souvenir from the show as much as her brush with "eliteness"

so, no slam meant against D-Money or the Player's Ball with regards to this incident

The Players ball was a good time. What was with the guy that was running out the front door with his head bleading. I was walking down the stairs from the vip section up stairs and saw some guy dripping with blood. Guess he didn't have fun. That was the best players ball that I have ever attended. thanks

he stampeded several people, including women (my wife isn't very big and the other gal beside her was even smaller) and didn't even so much as apologize, just barged on through...
I could give a fuck about lawsuit...a simple REAL apology would suffice...
the injury is covered by our insurance, but maybe a donation to a charity the size of the medical bill had we had to pay it...
it was just a really classless thing to do...

and since I'm getting a lot of ICQ's about it...
this incident has nothing to do with D-Money or the Player's Ball...once we got it, we had a great time...
this is a matter of Sleazy being a man and apologizing for acting like a dick

We had a great time... thanks for putting it on D-money and props to mensniche for the suite passes. The players cards rocked, had to push through the crowd but got right in once we hit the door.

Hey D-Money the party was off the CHAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had one of the best times of my life. Although there were numerous people that couldn't get in I'd have to say it was their own fault. Everyone should know that a party of this amount of hype is gonna be packed. They should have gotten there earlier. When I got there I was lucky enough to get up front pretty quick and was able to hang with the guys at the door. I know what they were going through and looking at it from their eyes I think they did a great job. They even let me call my two guys from the back of the line at the street to the front, but only cause I was pointing out some sponsors to let in.

I got to meet Magic Don Juan and I smoked with him. I don't think I have to mention how good it was.. I think my night was topped off the guy from Cypress Hill dedicated one of their last songs to me.

The one thing I think was a total waste of time and $500.00 was those twoo bitches kissing. It's not like it was a kissing contest all it was was two bitches kissing and you guys paid them $250.00 apiece for that bullshit. Not to mention it really got lame when those bitches wouldn't stop with that shit when Flav was telling em to stop. Like I said that shit was whack and a waste of money. That $500.00 could have went towards damages to that bench.

I WISH I HAD MORE HANDS SO I COULD GIVE THOSE BITCHES FO THUMBS DOWN AND THE PLAYERS BALL FO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dmoney i have a question. NO one that i know including silvercash and others got in that u do biz with on this board. Other then the sponsors everyone even with vip passes got denied at the door. At one time i heard u turned down cypress hill who was the main performer and u had to be called to go get him in. Fact is, i saw mainly ces all over going inside while internext people got left out. Its just a shame thats all. But we ended up having another party elswhere so i had a great time! I just think way too many people with vip passes who registered to get in got jerked around and didnt end up getting in which was a shame. Just my opinion btw
