How to run multiple ip's on one computer?

I would like to know how I can run multiple ip's from one computer. I'm curious to find out the answer to this because I'am a chathost on ifriends and they only let you sign into your account with one ip address. Now if I can figure out how to have diffrent ip numbers on one computer then I can open diffrent accounts on ifriends and run all rooms only using one computer. If anyone can help me with this you can send me an email at [email protected]
thanks

Your ISP will need to allow you to have more than 1 IP - windows or linux networking allows you to do it from there

Network cards are cheap. Add new nic, plug in to router, multiple IPs.

That would make multipul network ip's. You would need to contact your isp and get an extra ip added

You'll have to get a business ISP plan which gives you a couple of IPs

still confuised

I'm still confused about what you guys are saying. can you break it down for someone that doesnt know much about computers. like what is a nic card? what is linux? my isp sells extra ips, but how would i have it run from one computer with my other ip as well. so would i need to buy a router then buy more ips from my isp and osme how they would all work on my one computer an dgive me seperate ips?

No you don't need multiple nics, I just suggested it as being an easy answer.

Any way you go about it, you're going to need to get more ip's from your service provider. Some come with multiple IPs, some charge extra. If you're using more than 3 ips in total, and paying for the extra two, look in to a business plan it may be cheaper.

After you have additional IP's, you can bind your existing network card. This is more difficult then popping in a $10 plug-and-play network card and connecting it to your switch.

It's usually $1-5/MO per IP. Call your ISP.

HOWTO: Bind an IP in Windows O/S

Go to your active internet connections properties.
IE: In Windows XP, right click the network icon in your task bar, choose open Network Connections, then right click your appropriate network connection and choose Properties.

Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click Properties.

Select the "Use the following IP Address" radio button option. Enter the information your ISP has given to you, including your DNS servers.

To add more IPs, other than your primary, select Advanced button in the lower right.
Making sure you are at the IP Settings tab, view the IP Addresses field box, and click Add.

Again, fill out your new additional IP address(es) with subnet mask provided to you by your ISP. Repeat as needed for additional IP addresses. Click OK to everything and close those windows. The second, third (4th etc) IP(s) should now be bound to your NIC and free for use.

Well, hes not looking to run multiple instances of his O/S, just bind multiple IPs, you dont need a VPS (virtual private server) application to just bind multiple IPs to a server/PC.

Can you not use differant browsers with a differant proxy server in each browser which will give you differant ip numbers?

I dont know of any way to route outgoing traffic over multiple ips. Incoming no problem u guys described it above. But whenever he signs up or logins or whatever its going to always show his default ip and blow his cover.

Does nayone know a good proxy server that I can download that would work properly?

ifriends allows it

I'm not fucking anyone. Ifriends allows their chathost to run multiple rooms at one time. If they didnt they would not have allowed them to do it. One girl has 72 diffrent accounts that she runs at one time. At first I thought this was unfair because I had only one room and by them allowing these girls to open moe than one account it was hogging up my exposure and decreasing my income. After numerous complanits to ifriends they still refuse to stop it because it also increases their revenue. In the end, If you cant beat them you might as well join them

I remember the time when i worked on ifriends with my ex-girlfriend, in couples their was about 10 of us, and in single girls their may of been 300-500 chathosts, was no need to have so many cameras. it makes ifriends network look huge.
