We, the scandinavians, has given close to $350million + private donations. Its 17 times more than USA per citizen.
Anyway, as you say, its not about who giving what. Its not a contest, who "helped us before", but helping people, many children, in poor countries. The countries should give what they can afford, and of course countries, like the scandinavian ones, should give more because they are richer than the rest.
If some people in some countries are not satisfied with what their governments donate, you have the opportunity to make private donations. It's as simple as that, and this contest "we give more than you" is becoming stupid. |
