				anyone here good with DNS?

I just changed the DNS settings on one of my sites.. however, when i go to it, it brings me to the page from the old host, but the whois info shows dns settings for the new host

its not a browser issue, i asked a few people to go to the domain, and it brings them to the old host too did DNS settings stop getting updated automatically? |

post the link.. sometimes dns servers around the world don't reflect the most recent changes. it can take a few minutes, or even hours.

DNS has cache - DNS needs to propagate and your ISP's cache needs to clear.

People usually say 24 - 72 hours max.

Also, not worthy, if you're good with figuring out syntax's for unix commands - start messing around with dig.

Try re-updating your dns settings. Sometimes the propagation process goes into the deep freeze. Wait 24 - 72 hrs. Then you can start kicking stuff, if it still doesn't work.
