Contests are better for trips as you only have to please one person or set of people.

Another great idea i failed to mention people like rewards, I can create a new
method of rewards based on traffic types/trends/results etc. Let me know if
I am needed and we can further discuss.

Yes but the above doesn?t apply to our complete conversation, so hence you
cant just come pull that out of your ass from nowhere. We are talking about
how can we make this a better experience for the webmaster. More luxuries,
more details on your traffic, things like that. But a Card for X-mass would be
a nice gesture as well as reward gifts for your traffic. no?

Meanwhile a lot of the best converting sites are the small programs that give affiliates nothing more then a join link and some content if you ask nicely.

William agreed, now do you think you can be the next best thing if you got
your generic adult site, same old niche same old design layout and nothing
but a url for you to promote?

Who the hell wants to waste their time 'testing' on your new sites? We are
talking about jumping into the business head first and giving affiliates some
extra bells and whistles to show them, even if you just tried us, you will get
Incredible Details on Your Traffic Trends, Instant Payouts, a Reward for
even trying our new affiliate program, and many of the things i listed below.

Dont you agree it will be much easier to jump into the business now?

By "Pre-launch promo", do you mean running the tour and taking emails at the join page? Or are you just running ads for upcoming sites at already existing sites in your network?

I did a hell of a lot for Sahara Gets Dirty, starting 2 months before the site was launched. The first 2 sign up's came within 30 mins of the launch and it's carried on from there..

You will also need a lot of promotional material for affiliates, not that many of them will use it, as 99% are too damn lazy and will just add a link on a TGP or links site to your FHG etc. I wonder how many would go for BYOT if they can't even bother to use a banner... :)

That's what I mean. Not naming any programs, but the movie-centered bigger revshare progs out there do have these. As long as you have a track record, you ask, they verify, they hook you up.

exactly. But if the sites were pre-tested right, smaller affiliates would make more bling and hopefully even out the the bell curve of affiliate income more. :2 cents:

Prebuying signups on PPS is a great way to get larger affiliates. I presell my signups to smaller PPS programs because I wanna make sure they can pay me. When you send even just 100+ signups a week to a new program on PPS there is always the risk they fucked up and will go under before they see profit from the joins.

Cross sells? or just regular signups? I do see your point, though. But for the buyer to get in, I'm sure they'd want some track record or name brand assurance.

No crossells are a different thing. I mean signups.

Had a new program prepay for 1000 trial signups delivered over 1 month in Jan. Of course there are conditions, and its good to pass it through your lawyer, but its a great way of doing business for a new program wanting to break into the 'heavy hitters' market.

I know you asked about revshare though, so sorry to venture off topic :)

Bump Bump.

This was a good read, bumping it back up...

FelixFlow 03-27-2005 09:23 PM

yea fuck that 6 months of testing bullshit - worst fucking idea i've ever heard (at least for the solo model niche)

you got a hot, fresh girl and a quality name/rep/program then everyone will want to promote you, why wait six months?

i did a bit of pre-launch promotion for about 2 months before opening Kari's site...saw the first 15 signups within 7 minutes of turning "on" the the site (making the index page live)

guys were literally sitting in front of their monitors hitting "refresh"
