really depends on what you do with your system. i do a lot of video editing and it changed a lot of shit on mine so i reverted to previously working SP1.

so basically, try it... if you dont like it, revert back to SP1.

no, Microsoft is like a bad car service station, they repair something and fuck up something else at the same time.

That about sums it up.

I have it installed and haven't been nailed with anything since, and it didn't f' anything up. So for me, it was well worth it.

Don't do it if you havn't formated recently. Its best to format first before you install it. I got it running my 3 machines. Only 1 of them worked after the initial install. The other 2 had to be formated.

Thanks You just reminded me of the time I took my truck in for an oil change...Can't get much simpler than that right? What could possibly go wrong??

Well unknown to me the dumb fuck drains the transmission fluid by mistake. Then drains the oil and refills it and sends me on my way with zero transmission fluid.

I brought it back in and the Manager starts bullshitting me saying, "it must have been an air bubble"

As long as it wasn't downloaded via the windows update tool...
You're much better off purchasing the sp2 disk...!!!

Depends on what you use your system for. It will clear up most pop up issues if you surf . No problems on any machine I have installed it on.

doesn't matter, it has a little more security features, and theres tons of updates after you upgrade to sp2. Be sure to backup before doing it though.
