7 Figures in 2005?? What are YOUR goals? And how will you accomplish them? (PICS)

Last year (2004) I ended up grossing a nice mid-6 figures number. I had a certain target goal in mind and I reached it (actually I exceeded it by a little under $1,000 - talk about hitting it right on). If I double my income from this year I'll be in 7 figures.

I think that's probably unrealistic, but I'm still drawing up the plan to do so. Let's see if I can do it.

What are your goals for 2005?

PS: If you want to find PICS in this thread, feel free to post some.

I was in the half million area for 2004. That's not bad for a small company (myself, my fiance, and 2 part-time employees). I don't know how realistic it is to double my income in one year, but I do know that I could have worked a LOT harder this year, spent less on toys and more on advertising, and probably made a good $100,000 to $200,000 more in 2004.

That's part of my plan: work harder, spend less on unimportant things, more on advertising, etc.

Also, I plan to be nicer this year. I was not so nice to a few people in 2004.

So... map out your plan to accomplish your goals (in general terms, as above).

Yes, you are right of course. But gross comes first. I have a very good accountant who can be very creative.

I have a number in mind and the plans to make it happen. I was excited about 2004. I'm exstatic about 2005. I didn't work hard enough or smart enough in 2004, invested money in the wrong things and still hit a few of my goals. Time for overdrive.

Your story sounds just like mine. Money placed into the wrong areas... not enough hard work... etc.

This year I'm not going to travel as much. Going to advertise more. Buying fewer toys. Spending less on needless things.

But one of the most important things I plan for 2005 is the way I treat people. I'm a pretty nice guy most of the time but I can look back on '04 and see a lot of people I should have treated much nicer.

work more effective: first step is a good autosubmitter instead of handsubmitting.
Plus cnage my small tgp network into something more serious with a tgp script that has the option to trade.

Same here, 2004 was the first opportunity I've really ever had to travel. So I did quite a bit of it. This year I don't have the plans to travel, have other things I want to spend my time and money on.

Good thread Donny.

We have a baby comming, so I am being realistic, in saying that I will be happy with a 15% increase in income, and a happy healthy baby and wife.

The wife part is the easy one. the Baby.....

I agree with Donovan, Net isnt always that important depending on your accountant, I know for certain that my income is nearly double what it is on paper based on my tax write-offs and so forth. But a nice goal for 2004 looks something like this:

Well really I'm more planning for the Carrera (Not the S), but hey at 4.8s 0-60 vs. 4.6s for the S, its ok, plus I'll put in a few nice options, you know the essentials like Navi and heated seats

Expecting 2005 to be one of my best years ever if things continue going so well. Haven't had any dog deals or shit investments for a while, so I seem to be on a nice lucky streak.

In many ways you are correct. In this industry, however, I see a lot of bragging. Many of us (myself included) grew up very poor. Poor people talk hard figures. Many of us (myself included) bring that willingness to talk number along with them when our fortunes turn. We are proud of what we've accomplished.

Examples: Quiet has posted his income (with proof) on here before. Steve Lightspeed has sent me screen caps of his CCBill figures on more than one occasion. Others have done the same.

Our industry is different in many ways. Talking numbers is one of them. Some exaggerate. Some don't.

I have a perfect plan to rob a bank,
there is no way it can fail!

You go and kidnap the bank managers family and make him take you to the bank and let you in,
when in there you have plenty of time to fill up your bags, cut out the paint bombs etc.
And ofcourse make sure not to select a bank with a nightguard.

100% success guaranteed
