people who bitch about how high 1,6 x anual income is, dont get the most important point. If you buy a program that makes 100k/month net, doesnt mean you will make that much each month. If you are stupid you will make less, but if you are clever, you can work on the sites, make them better, implement new ideas, get new affiliates, etc etc and make 200, 300k/month...or even more and make the money back very soon.

Lets face it the 1.6 takes into account industry risk and also society stigma. You can't go public with these sites. Fewer deep pocket buyers of your old porn site.

easier said than done.This business is not as easy as you claim for it to be anymore...affiliates are all situated where they want to be situated and getting them to promote new programs is not as easy as you make it appear to be.

The selling of programs in adult is tricky.

On one hand the selling price would/should be 1-2 years worth of profit or more depending on the program. Few programs would sell for anything less because they'd lose money. It would be more profitable just to run the thing or have somebody run it rather than sell it. On the other hand, adult is a much more volatile business than most with many uncertainties with regards to things like billing processing and affiliates - affiliates choose to send traffic, they don't have to. So in that respect, it would seem like a gamble even when buying a successful program.

This probably explains why the only major sales in adult in recent memory have been TGP's exchanging hands (ex. Worldsex purchase of AL4A), and programs having trouble being grandfathered into existing programs (Ex. Pornkings acquisition of Perfectiongirls, TripleXcash's acquisition Nocoeds). When that doesn't happen it appears that the program simply closes down.

Marty, what's your idea of a lot of affiliates? 30k+?

It does not have to be 30 thousand affiliates, it can be 1000 affiliates as long as 100 of them are real pushers.

I've thought about trying to come out with my own program but I aint got the umm... "the Gab" thing and such, I suck at bullshitting and putting cream on top of it all.

I have always specialised in starters, getting somthing off the ground and then walk away, its just how I do business. Ya can ask around even the big fish wonder about me, alot of them I have helped at one point or another:)
