Are you afraid of death? You may not be now, since most of us are prewtty young and thats the last thing on our mind, but how do you think you will handle it when your 75 and at death's door? Will you be afraid of the unknown? Will you be full of regrets? Will you be sad? Or happy?

How do old people deal with their upcoming death?

My granny is a gangsta.

Seriously...she's 88 or 89 now living alone and still smoking like a chimney. I think if you go over to her house you'll find God and Death outside arguing..."No you go in."

I think you have to face it like you do anything else that takes a little balls. Just suck in a big breath and say "ok, well here I am and here are the cards I got in my hand" and just play it out. I hope I don't have any regrets. I mean I apologized to that goat so we are straight...

Us being relatively young has nothing to do with it.. You could be driving to the store to get a pack of smokes, ( or to the health food store for a tofu enema or whatever the fuck you health nuts get ) and be broad sided by a semi, and die tomorrow..

Personally, I'm not afraid of death. When it's my time, it my time, wether it be tomorrow, or in 50 years..

I have no regrets about the way I've lived my life, and could die at peace when ever my time comes..

death is everyone else nightmare, it is something we are afraid of the most, but it is also something we can't stop from coming when time comes. But if I am 75 i guess by that time I am ready to face my last breath on earth

I'm not afraid of death i'm just afraid I will die before I have enough for my wife and kids to live comfortably so a few more years and i'll have that burden off my shoulders and I can relax and enjoy life more...

I just look up and think where does it end. Why do we exist there's got to be some reason and the only thing life shows us is how to die. That day we will find out and there's fuck all we can do about it apart from have faith.

I'm not afraid of death now and I do a LOT of crazy and very very dangerous things. If I make it to 75 I think I'd have more of an impending sense of death whether its natural or whatever and would probably fear it a bit more. If, however, I lived a good and full life by that point, which I probably will, I think I'd be more comfortable with it.

I think that may be the key to being at peace with yourself when death comes knocking on your doorstep. I guess my biggest fear is looking back when I am 75 and having regrets about not living my life to it's fullest potential.

i think by that age, 75+ or so - or whenever your system begins to break down as all systems do - it's something genetic that enables you to not fear it as much. you grow old and tired - so I would assume so does your once youthful fears.

Some say that as you grow older, the fear of death fades away.

Not sure if it is true or not, but most elders that I know, look pretty much in peace.

At 75, nothing matters, you have been there, done that and are done with that.

As long as Jerry Springer stays on the air, I am Ok with seeing 76.

What is there to be afraid of -- I am working my way through a list of 'must do's' and odds are once I am done it I will want to be dead cause I will be in such pain.

If I did not live life (work is not living life) I would consider myself dead already.

Death is inevitable. Why worry or fear it? I just live my life and will be the same IF I'm still around at 75. If not, oh well. Life is scarier then death anyway.. life = bills, bill, bills, people fucking you over etc.... Dead = ZERO worries FOREVER.. Just live you life, make the best of what you have and forget fearing death.. The more you fear something the more it will make your life suck.

yes, and after 'it' happens not much matters to the person, as they have already left the world of worrying -- I am sure we all know or knew someone that held back life waiting for the rain, yet the end arrived first.
