Are you afraid of death? How do you think you will handle it when your 75 and...

Are you afraid of death? You may not be now, since most of us are prewtty young and thats the last thing on our mind, but how do you think you will handle it when your 75 and at death's door? Will you be afraid of the unknown? Will you be full of regrets? Will you be sad? Or happy?

How do old people deal with their upcoming death?

eroswebmaster 12-28-2004 04:35 PM

My granny is a gangsta.

Seriously...she's 88 or 89 now living alone and still smoking like a chimney. I think if you go over to her house you'll find God and Death outside arguing..."No you go in."

MetaformX 12-28-2004 04:37 PM

Hehe, thats pimp. That is how I wantto approach my death...be at a level of peace with my self and have no regrets.

NickPapageorgio 12-28-2004 04:39 PM

I think you have to face it like you do anything else that takes a little balls. Just suck in a big breath and say "ok, well here I am and here are the cards I got in my hand" and just play it out. I hope I don't have any regrets. I mean I apologized to that goat so we are straight...

Wiggles 12-28-2004 04:43 PM

i think by 75 i'll want to die anyway due to health and appearance.

mech 12-28-2004 04:45 PM

To quote Woody Allen, "I'm not afraid of dying... I just don't want to be there when it happens."

I think I agree with Woody :)

r3ap3r 12-28-2004 05:12 PM

I live each and everyday as if it was my last.

erehwon 12-28-2004 05:21 PM

I want to die like my grandfather, in his sleep. Not like the other 45+ screaming people on the bus he was driving off a cliff... :1orglaugh

Methodcash Rick 12-28-2004 05:41 PM

Us being relatively young has nothing to do with it.. You could be driving to the store to get a pack of smokes, ( or to the health food store for a tofu enema or whatever the fuck you health nuts get ) and be broad sided by a semi, and die tomorrow..

Personally, I'm not afraid of death. When it's my time, it my time, wether it be tomorrow, or in 50 years..

I have no regrets about the way I've lived my life, and could die at peace when ever my time comes..

AdultNex 12-28-2004 05:48 PM

I'm going to be cyrogenically frozen... So to answer your question, no.

iFliPcEss 12-28-2004 05:52 PM

death is everyone else nightmare, it is something we are afraid of the most, but it is also something we can't stop from coming when time comes. But if I am 75 i guess by that time I am ready to face my last breath on earth

reynold 12-29-2004 02:42 AM

well, i try not to think about it but i know i will die soon, i just hope that before that happen, i already finish my purpose here on earth.

SmutGiant 12-29-2004 02:48 AM

At the rate I'm going I'll be lucky to make it to 30 lol.

Sarah_Jayne 12-29-2004 04:17 AM

you know, being dead doesn't scare me but dying does...I don't want to know it is happening. My brain is my worst enemy.

Candice 12-29-2004 04:45 AM

Surprisingly, I'm not afraid of death no matter what age I am when my time comes. :thumbsup

xoxo,
C~ :angel

Vitasoy 12-29-2004 04:51 AM

At 75 I don't think I'd be scared. But who knows. :food-smil

xclusive 12-29-2004 04:55 AM

I'm not afraid of death i'm just afraid I will die before I have enough for my wife and kids to live comfortably so a few more years and i'll have that burden off my shoulders and I can relax and enjoy life more...

Twe Russ 12-29-2004 04:57 AM

You just STFU and deal with it. ;)

hydro 12-29-2004 05:09 AM

i live for the moment

tgpmakers 12-29-2004 05:36 AM

I just look up and think where does it end. Why do we exist there's got to be some reason and the only thing life shows us is how to die. That day we will find out and there's fuck all we can do about it apart from have faith.

TheFrog 12-29-2004 05:38 AM

ill deal with that problem when it comes

uno 12-29-2004 07:01 AM

I'm not afraid of death now and I do a LOT of crazy and very very dangerous things. If I make it to 75 I think I'd have more of an impending sense of death whether its natural or whatever and would probably fear it a bit more. If, however, I lived a good and full life by that point, which I probably will, I think I'd be more comfortable with it.

I think that may be the key to being at peace with yourself when death comes knocking on your doorstep. I guess my biggest fear is looking back when I am 75 and having regrets about not living my life to it's fullest potential.

i think by that age, 75+ or so - or whenever your system begins to break down as all systems do - it's something genetic that enables you to not fear it as much. you grow old and tired - so I would assume so does your once youthful fears.

Praguer 01-11-2005 10:14 AM

Some say that as you grow older, the fear of death fades away.

Not sure if it is true or not, but most elders that I know, look pretty much in peace.

Chris Malais 01-11-2005 10:15 AM

I never was afraid of the dark.

baddog 01-11-2005 10:49 AM

I kind of look forward to it, however, my family tends to live forever, so I probably have another 50 years ahead of me

tranza 01-11-2005 11:21 AM

I'm 22 and VERY affraid of death...

AnaNicole 01-11-2005 11:37 AM

to think about it scares me.
I have a great-grandmother that is 104 years old but she's like a child when you are old you become ussually again a like a child and i dont think that's good also.

OzMan 01-11-2005 11:40 AM

no
good
no
no
no
differently

LeeNoga 01-11-2005 11:42 AM

At 75, nothing matters, you have been there, done that and are done with that.

As long as Jerry Springer stays on the air, I am Ok with seeing 76.

BuckLover 01-11-2005 11:43 AM

I think at 75-90 I will be longing for death! :winkwink:

Paco, of Large Cash. 01-11-2005 11:46 AM

What is there to be afraid of -- I am working my way through a list of 'must do's' and odds are once I am done it I will want to be dead cause I will be in such pain.

If I did not live life (work is not living life) I would consider myself dead already.

The Heron 01-11-2005 12:31 PM

Live hard and die young! I'm not bothered by the idea of being a rotting hunk of flesh in the ground.

Yngwie 01-11-2005 12:53 PM

Death is inevitable. Why worry or fear it? I just live my life and will be the same IF I'm still around at 75. If not, oh well. Life is scarier then death anyway.. life = bills, bill, bills, people fucking you over etc.... Dead = ZERO worries FOREVER.. Just live you life, make the best of what you have and forget fearing death.. The more you fear something the more it will make your life suck.

Paco, of Large Cash. 01-11-2005 12:56 PM

yup, like the TV says ... Live it up!

Never mind 75, come 50 I will most likely not be able to more than half the things I love and am doing now.

cashman 01-11-2005 12:57 PM

I think most people are affraid of death :Oh crap

Theo 01-11-2005 01:03 PM

yes, and after 'it' happens not much matters to the person, as they have already left the world of worrying -- I am sure we all know or knew someone that held back life waiting for the rain, yet the end arrived first.
