Favorite Linux or Unix Distro

For those of you who use Linux and/or Unix what is your favorite distro? I am looking to have something that is a nice desktop. I have been looking at Suse and Xandros.

What do you like and why?

Are you using the personal edition, the professional edition or the new Novell Linux Destrop edition?

Xandros is based off Debian. But I am not impressed with the stability of it. By far SuSE has the cleanest setup, but now they seem to hide the Professional 9.1 downloads and shit. And 9.2 isnt due out until January sometime.

I'm looking into this stuff too. I've heard that Lindows is cool. Anybody have any experience with that?

Personally I think Linspire (Lindows) is clunky and kinda crappy. I tried them out a few months ago and was not impressed with their kde setup or anything. Now you can change the whole windows decoration thing, but to me it just didn't seem all that great, I was trying Linspire 4.5.

RedHat 9. I tried Suse, and I could have misinstalled it, but for me Suse didn't even come with GCC. Redhat came with everything I needed.

Did you install Lindowns alone or did you do a dual partition with Windows/something else?
