Best Referrers/Signups Table. Hope It helps You All :-)

Hi, I've seen a few posts from you guys in relation to signup ratios and best TGP's for signups etc... I operate www.projectvoyeur.com - a free site which entices people to my pay site www.too-blue.com ($25 non-recurring for 1 year)

About 3 months ago, I installed a custom script to track where my Too Blue signups were coming from. I thought I would list my stats for the past 1 month to help you guys determine where to post your galleries and who to set up traffic trades with. Please note that these are the website referrers that work for my site..... Make your own conclusions please....( the numbers in the brackets are the signups for that 30 day period )

Statistics from 13-09-2001 to 13-10-2001
Advertisers
http://ampland.com (92) http://voyeurzine.com (80) http://projectvoyeur.com (58) http://voyeurpost.com (54) http://al4a.com (41) http://ww2.ynotnetwork.com (22) http://peepholecam.com (17)
[unknown] (14) http://dangerdave.com.au (9) http://watchersweb.com (8) http://worldsex.com (5) http://voyeurfreepics.com (4) http://google.com (3) http://microsoft.com (2) http://real-voyeur.com (2) http://links.sextracker.com (2) http://thumbfarm.com (2) http://ranks.sextracker.com (1)

Hope that helps. If it doesn't I'm sorry :-))

I have no idea why www.microsoft.com is in the referrer list. The script just records the URL before the signup enters my domains.... Microsoft (as you know) is a highly populated domain so I guess it's not surprising that a visitor who looks at the microsoft website also visits my domain. My site www.projectvoyeur.com attracts over 400,000 uniques per day (across the whole site) www.sextracker.com - we get a lot of visitors via word of mouth. The microsoft referrer could be someone who was at work and fancied some porn and checked out the website because a friend told them too :-)

I think that makes sense! lol

Yeah, it converts well, but please note that although my site is called Project Voyeur, 90% of it is amateur visitors and pics. If we are talking niche, then voyeur, exhibitionist, amateur and hardcore encapsulates things better :-)

yeah, it is a strange setup. In essence I advertise my FREE site (www.projectvoyeur.com) - get a lot of traffic to that and then hope that people signup with my 'related' paysite(s)... It tends to work :-)

I've had a few emails from people with regards to traffic trades. Please note that I only do trades with my TGP site www.voyeurzine.com - As you can see from my stats VOYEURZINE is a very productive TGP. We receive on average 80,000 uniques per day. Email me at [email protected] if you are interested in doing anything from a 1k trade to a 5k trade....

Thanks :-)

i've seen several times project voyeur in the past and it's a very good work. It's nice to see you TherealEd to share things from your first posts. Sublimedirectory has voyeur also and it's very old too, this doesn't mean it's a rip off. It's just a not so common niche for webmasters, but from the sextracker counter we can see people prefer it.

Ed, I like your site. I wonder if you could answer a question?

I have tried to run a site somewhat like your's and I was wanting to know how long did it take you to get consistent submissions each day?

I only got 1-2 a week and they was alllll ugly, LOL.

Hi Tenletters, I have been running Project Voyeur since the summer of '99, it takes a while to get regular contributors but here are 4 things you will need to do to get more viewers and contributions.

(1) Add a message board - Interactive elements to the site are essential to attract regular contributors.

(2) Add a chatroom - Real time chat is just as important as message boards.

(3) Provide monthly prizes and similar contests to keep the site competitive and interesting...

(4) When you have implemented all of the above, then it is imperative that you spend money on advertising. If you have no money for advertising then create galleries and submit to TGP's such as thehun.net, al4a.com, worldsex.com and voyeurzine.com :-))

These are simple tips that have worked for me.... In essence you will need to keep your site as personal as possible. That is a very important element. Looks at voyeurweb.com - Igor's success comes primarily because he was the first to have a genuine FREE website but the reason it continues to be successful is that he keeps the site personal. He is my competitor but you got to respect what he has done there...
