www.microsoft.com is in the referrer list. The script just records the URL before the signup enters my domains.... Microsoft (as you know) is a highly populated domain so I guess it's not surprising that a visitor who looks at the microsoft website also visits my domain. My site
www.projectvoyeur.com attracts over 400,000 uniques per day (across the whole site)
www.sextracker.com - we get a lot of visitors via word of mouth. The microsoft referrer could be someone who was at work and fancied some porn and checked out the website because a friend told them too :-)
I think that makes sense! lol
