When I flew Southwest Airlines to Indiana last week
When I flew Southwest Airlines to Indiana last week they had to jumpstart the engine.
The pilot gets on the intercom and is like "The normal auxilery power we use to start the engine didn't work, so it's going to be a few more minutes before we can get the engine started from ground power, we'll de-ice the wings again too" It's very comforting to hear before you take off that they can't get the engine to go on. Makes for a pleasant flight. The wait was longer than the flight. Southwest is the flying greyhound bus. But it was fuckin cheap and I lived and scored bigtime on peanuts. I actually did take the greyhound home from Indy, at 2 am, it was so funny, I annoyed the shit out of everyone by keeping my light on reading the fortune 400 the whole way, everyone else was asleep or trying to sleep. The guy next to me put his hat over his face and wrapped his shirt around his head. Clearly these folk were not internet business people who go to sleep at 6 am. Chatty chatty chat chat. |
