Hey guys is there anyway with NWA to change the name on a plane ticket? I bought a ticket for someone to go with me to vegas and she cant amke it because of family issues, anyway i can pay a fine and cange the name?

In my experience, you can never change the name. Only times.

I experienced something like that with another airline and they weren't willing to do very much. The best they would do was to issue a voucher/credit to that person, but there was a big service fee to do it. I think when we did it we only had a $45 credit - far less than the ticket price. Call your airline though - they might be willing to help you out. Good luck!

make up some bs about you ordered the ticket in the wrong persons name, you had a list or some shit dunno.. social engineer it somehow

Im gonna try and say my secratery booked it under the wrong name and we just caught the mistake and see what they say, i would rather give the ticket to someone to use and have funt hen it go to waste.

Sorry but 99.999999999999% of the time the airline will not change the name and may give you a partial credit if you are lucky.

Related to that if you are ever booking over the phone, make sure the reservation agent spells your name back to you correctly as one letter off could mean a nightmare at the airport.

So much for the relaxed pre pre 9/11 days when they didn't even check your ID once you had your boarding pass :food-smil
