wget via comand promt (ssh?)

Hi there,

I remember a while ago my server admin was explaining wget to me and I found it an extremely useful tool, however I have since forgot how to sue it properly. Could someone donate maybe 3 mminutes of their time to me who knows how to use this program? I would be most grateful

Thx,
Steen.

Yes!

My old server admin told me how to do this and it was very useful!

I would log in with this program I have (putty) and type in about 10 words in a command prompt and after say one minute I would have all the content from a site from however many links deep I specified.

Anyone fluent with how to use this awesome program?

Thanks!

What do you mean by "everything"?

I don't want it to follow links to external sites (yahoo.com) and download the entire internet, lol
