When is the last time you played a board game?

I noticed that the board game people are really pushing their products hard over here this christmas. I can't remember the last time I played one. Do people still play them ?

Last christmas. It was some Harry Potter game.

I've noticed the boom in board games over here. i think its due in part to parents hoping to give their children the same experiences they experienced in youth. i know my youngest (4) has got buckaroo, operation, and others.

i think board games are cool around christmas time. gives the whole family something to do together. i've been trying to get my fiancee, april, the new cluedo sfx but its sold out everywhere i look online.

i've played scattergories and trouble a few times in the last 2-3 years.

i'm jonesing for a serious risk or monopoly game though. back when i was 12-14 years old, me and my friends used to play games of monopoly that lasted for days.

I am hooked on a game I got a few years back called Quandary.

They have a card based version of it now, called LOCO.

Lots of fun. Easy to learn.

I play board games rather frequently. It probably averages out to once per week. Mainly Axis & Allies or Risk variants. I'd love to play diplomacy again.

I have two cousins I used to play it with the most. One of them is now an accountant and one a lawyer and lets just say I should have known by the way they played. Swear we spent a whole fecking day setting the board up and arguing over rules and who got to be bank.

I was actually excited to play the 80's version a couple years back but then it turned out to be British 80s (duh on my part). If in doubt I answered David Bowie or Maggie Thatcher and I was usually right.

My son made one to present as a project on a book he read so I was his guinea pig to test it with him - was quite fun actually.

I've played monopoly, 'teacher's quiz' and networking with him - but the last two are practically unknown but quite fun.

Does SceneIt count as a board game? I mean, it's a board game, but you also use your DVD player to play the movie clips that are about half of the questions.

I love this game. We play it all the time. I'm thinking about getting the Disney and TV versions. All I need now are friends to play with.
