Instead of DVD Rentals like Netflix, why not just an iTunes type site for DVDs?
BW is faster now so why isn't there an iTunes type site for DVDs? Anyone here of any deal in the works?
Or will the MPAA be too worried about lost profits? Legal Movie Torrent sites -- an idea whose time has come? |

doesn't movielink do this already?
though i'm sure the quality sucks, and the selection is even worse.. your average stripped dvd is 4+gigs for a DVD image.. converted to DivX about 700 Megs, and the DivX playback quality on my TV is pretty damn good.. (I usually can fit 5-6 full DivX rips on a single DVD-R depending on movie length) Still, 700 megs.. might be too scary for people.. then again.. aside from us nerds, how many people have DivX capable hardware DVD players? and who the hell wants to watch a movie on a PC? and if it's too compressed... would you pay to watch a shitty compressed dvd? |
