Weird problem... my domains are giving only me "Page cannot be displayed"

If I try to go to either of my domains, I get "page cannot be displayed"... no matter what browser I use. I also can not ping them from my machine.

If I try to access the server they are on by IP, it works fine. My domains can be pinged by other people, but not me. Hell, I can even access them from another computer on the same network.

My PC is spyware/trojan free according to:
Spybot S&D
Spysweeper
Norton Antivirus
HijackThis
CWShredder
Ad-Aware

The contents of my hosts file are only 127.0.0.1 localhost

I can not access my FTP, my site, my e-mail, or anything by using the domain name.

If anyone has any information or suggestions that might help me, please let me know.

Thanks

Take a look at the DNS settings, they may have been torched in some way.

Did you try accessing them via IP address as well as domain name?

Yes, as I said, I can access via IP but not via domain. My DNS settings are still intact.

DNS settings with both who you registered your domains with & your hosting company.

if its still a problem, shut down your firewalls and antivirus & see if it works then.

I have tried with no firewall or AV enabled, and it does the same thing. Only thing that I can think of that is different between the PC it works on and the PC it doesn't work on is that one is running '98 and is like 433mhz heh and one (the one I am having problems on) is running XP and is the DMZ host on my router.

1. ping to 127.0.0.1 - check your NIC driver
2. ping to real IP -check if TCP/IP is installed and working properly
3. ping default gateway

then, post here where you stucked.

Hrm, when I go to Network Tools in cPanel and do 'Domain Lookup', it gives me the following:

DNS Results:

Host the420.com not found: 2(SERVFAIL)

Zone Information:
Host the420.com not found: 5(REFUSED)
; Transfer failed.

I can't ping the nameservers from my machine, which may explain why it doesn't work for me... but I don't know why other people would be able to access the site.
