Digital Photo Guys... How do I rig this?
I want to setup a digital camera rig where the camera may be 20-50 feet away from me (like on the end of a pole or a very tall tripod) but I want to see what the camera sees and snap the shot when I get the composition right. Basically I'm talking about a remote screen and shutter control either wired or wireless. Any equipment around that makes this possible? How do I rig something like that up?

Most cameras have a video-out, you could use this and a small tv with video in.
Remotes are also very common(Olympus, Canon) |

remote shutter release, Pan/tilt head, video out to a monitor, several ways to do it.
Now on higher end cameras with a Wi-Fi transmitter it is possible to fully access camera control using software. So you could simply use a laptop and push it out of the scene, after compin' your shot. You would still need a P/T head on the tripod. But that'd do it. Check out the Nikon D2x and it's toy's the easiest would be to hire a photog assistant!...hehehe
