I realize everyone loves drama. Sure some claim they don't but they still read the threads. It's like a train wreck, you just can't help yourself. What I don't understand is how easily the drama can be avoided in most cases.

For example, a few weeks ago my board, the board I mod, made number one on Board Tracker. We were happy about that because we work hard to run a good board. At some point a fucktard from another board who is normally number one makes his fist post on our board. Was it to say, thanks for a job well done? Was it to say, keep up the good work? Nope, it was some bullshit about we only made number one because of a whore thread. I thought that was thoughtful

Because of his stupid first post he started getting slammed. I mean of course he would. Any board is gonna slam someone for bashing on them. Especially if it was just there first post. But it got better. His second post was implying that he was going to take back a prize given to one of their users because he posts on our board. After that, the thread really went to hell. When the other owner of the other board stopped in, he sounded like John Kerry, "I will look in to this and see what's going. But I don't see anything wrong." Well then why look in to dipshit?

Any ways, the whole thing could have been avoided with a simple post by the first idiot. Something like, "Hey I'm sorry. I was just giving you guys a hard time. Congrats on the number one spot, keep up the good work." But no, he started it. We finished it.

Then about the same time, a user on our board brings up, the fact that we weren't nominated for something that some thought we should be. Eventually a rep shows up from the place issuing the nominations. Now, I already know this place sucks at PR based on a party gone bad in Florida and the way that was handled. So now this guy shows up and again, could have diffused the entire situation in one post. A post like this would have been nice. "Hi, I'm from XXXX Company. I'm sorry you weren't in the nominations announced. You run a great board and I'm surprised you weren't. But, let me explain how it works. We don't pick who gets nominated and who doesn't. Anyone can nominate anyone they want. We only pick the top few with the most nominations. It's not a perfect system but then what is? Again, we're sorry you weren't nominated this time, but I'm sure you will be many times in the future."

But no, he comes to thread all defensive and cocky. The thread blows up. And now this Private Ivy shit. How hard is it to say, I'm sorry. I screwed up. What can I do to make this right? Take the content down? Get the linking codes right this time? Whatever it takes. Again, I'm sorry.

It's amazing how far a simple sorry will go. But no, people suck at PR. It amazes me how so many people can make so much money and be so absolutely clueless as to how to deal with the public and saving their name. But, no, a thread that should be just a page turns to five or more just because no one has any clue how to deal with the public.

I posted here first fucktard. After this thread made it all the way to the bottom before anyone responded I posted it on another board. Then I posted it on MP. And guess what no one had still posted in this thread. So yes, I proved my point. Now what.

Go back to school learn something. And who's whining? Not me. My original post here was a question no cared to respond to because it was drama free. Thus proving my point twice!

But I have to thank you not only did you prove my point, you added some drama to it. It should really take off now.

You're kind of slow aren't you? I posted the thread here first. Why does anyone post anything? Because they have something to say or show that they want people to see. I don't see what wanting or craving attention has anything to do with it. It's the whole point to having a forum. I don't know if you noticed or not but every thread is started by someone. Most threads have responses. So by your dim witted logic the only reason people ever post is to get attention. I don't think so but obviously you do.

And, I didn't insult this board. I insulted the people who post here who can't read. You seem to be one of them as my original post was ignored by you and you went off on attacking me to make your own point. Who?s the attention whore? I know a lot of people in this biz and some of the smartest people I know post here and make the dumbest posts I have ever read. Hell, I've even done it. But you my friend. You're right up there. Is that far off what happened?

Although you are trying quite masterfully to twist and turn and spin and suggest i'm off-topic, you were mis-quoted, yadda yadda ... let's for a moment forget all that, okay?

First off, what do I have to be PR about it. I wasn?t defending my business or anyone elses. I was making an observation that you have apparently missed. There?s more to reading than just knowing what the letters strung together say. You have to understand what they all mean once put together in sentences called paragraphs. This is called comprehension something you?re obviously lacking.
