DAMNIT ... NTFS won't accept files bigger then 4 gb either
I don't know what to do ... I really hate this crap

I'm mad . I just formatted the drive and made it ntfs (I converted it and it didn't work ... it bugged up . I was deleting stuff and the empty space was showing full) .

NTFS can handle files larger than 4gb i'm positive, i've handles files larger than 15gb like I said. Did you try partition magic?

Yes that's what I just did ...
i just extracted a 6 + gig file ... worked but when i combine my lists together, I get a fucking error

using a non-ntfs temp dir??? maybe running out of mem?
cause NTFS will not have any problem manipulating files 4gb+... |

why the fuck would you need a 4GB list, it must be pretty untargetted. you should at least break it up into sublists for results tracking purposes.

I'm going to suggest its the program you're using to edit the file thats causing the problem.. i'd say use notepad but you'd be there for years.

i have 2 15gb files on this machine right now
if you working with text i might usggest using textpad or some program similar...it seems to handle large files rather well |
