my thoughts on this - yes gary is on the board of the asacp, but gary is but one voice on that board and doesn't speak for the whole. I didn't verify this but if it's true that links for lightspeed on sex.com lead to the asacp I see this as a problem with sex.com and it's management- and i DO see it as a problem - but not with the asacp. It's not the asacp's fault the traffic was sent to them.

What has happened to lightpseed is SPECIFIC, to provide information to the public that suggests that lightspeed material is CP.

Gary won't let me into ASACP either, and I am a good friend. Many people know that Gary invested money in my business several years to help me grow, money which has allowed me to get to where I am today. I've stayed at Gary's house for a month. He's been generous in every way.

But he won't let me into ASACP. Why? Because of www.TeenKarma.com . I'm a partner in that site. Gary feels the model looks too young (even though she's 21 years old).

Gary feels the same way about many of Steve's girls. He feels they are made to look younger than they are.

Obviously, I disagree with some of Gary's points of view or I wouldn't own TeenKarma.com. But Gary practices consistency, even if you're a friend of his.

Donovan, Gary exact actions in blocking you from ASACP is only a side part of the issue. If i go to sex.com and serch for "TEEN KARMA" or "TEENKARMA" I get the default search page (with napster of porn and others). I search for lightspeed, and I get ONLY the link to ASACP. Obviously, while Gary feels (in your words) that Teen Karma is a bad site, he still doesn't actively filter the term like he filters out the Lightspeed stuff.

That isn't consistancy, that is done with intent. What image it leaves the public with is fairly obvous.

the ASACP situation is just as bad: If all your models are 18, if your paperwork is in line, and you are legal, then they should have no issue with you. By having the organization that supposedly represents the online industry refuse you membership because they question your content could lead to the government making the same assumption. In a very real way, they have basically said "we are not sure about this donovan guy", because if they were sure, they would allow you to be a member and to support the cause.

Using subjective rather than objective rules to approve or disapprove membership to what should be one of the most important organizations in the business is, IMHO, a flawed way of selecting those that are worthy.

I hope that Joan now takes the time to look at the situation that has been created, and move to a more subjective approach so that membership in this organization can be encouraged, not discouraged.
