Something about cars

This is quite interesting for you "import lovers"

Canadian Automobile Association published in their member magazine that the after-purchase, out-of-pocket costs for scheduled maintenance over a four year, 60,000 mile (100,000 km) ownership period for a Toyota Corolla LE sedan was more than 4 times that for a Cadillac STS.

It's a lot more than $80.
Like timing belt change cost a lot more than that.I red that article and it's interesting.
They compared price of the parts for domestic
and imports. On average price of parts for imports
is about 300% more than domestic.

Rose,
Hahahahaha. Check where all the parts for domestic cars are made. They are all made overseas. Support something good you know, like grow more flowers, or trees. Doing the BUY DOMESTIC thing doesn't do much.

Mukoh,
I guess you dont know what you are talking about.I think all you know about cars is that they have 4 wheels.
I can say about Chrysler, that only
5% of parts for their cars and trucks are made overseas.
And I think Ford and GM won't be different.
I have family member who works at Chrysler HQ
in Detroit.

i love lamborghinis....

especially 900hp ones!

Towards the end of 1998, a rather exclusive Diablo was built, a Diablo with a twin-turbo charged engine, pumping out nearly 900 Bhp.

Fucking Nice.

The 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish.

The V12 Vanquish, unveiled at the New York Auto Show this past spring and hailed as a new supercar, finally goes on sale in fall 2001 with a price tag of around $350,000. The sleek Aston Martin flagship can zip from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds, thanks to the 460-horsepower 6.0-litre V12 under the hood. Torque is a healthy 400 lb-ft at 5000 rpm. Take your pick of body style. Both a two-seater and a 2+2 coupe are offered. The DB7 Vantage and Volante complete the Aston Martin line, powered by a 420-horsepower version of the 6.0-litre V12. The supercharged 6-cylinder engined DB7 is now a mere memory.

Anyone like the new gold color on some of these new rides?

I think I do...

This is the only pic I have of the color. I must say it looks better on the nicer vehicles than on honda civics.

That gold looks nice, a lot of imports around here are getting those new paint jobs.
My neigbor' s (spoiled rotten) son received a new celica for his 18th bday a couple weeks ago, and now he went and got that laborghini orange paint job.. looks nice as hell but with that 3000$ he could have done a lot better things than a paintjob!

Yeah, I agree.

You know what? I think most of the reason rich people are snobs are because of the spoiled kids they raise. I believe the people who make the money themselves, for the most part, have a good understanding of the value of money. But if you're just given it, you're a fucking snob. My kids aren't going to get shit. They are going to learn what money means, and how to make it themselves.

Warren Buffet - the world's richest invester, one of the world's richest people (top 4, used to be #1 if it weren't for 3 microsoft owners) - won't even pay his daughter's $2000 visa debt. His net worth about $30 billion. He explains that 'why should she be given a head start?' It's like a race, and why should people whose father were runners start at the 50 yard line when everyone else starts at 0? Most importantly, it makes them learn. Secondly, it makes them avoid becomming snobs (that couldn't make a dime if thrown on the street with nothing).

Anyone agree?
