I bought a new car a few weeks ago. While looking though I found the car I wanted on ebay. Unfortunately it was in another state. I dont see that there would be any more risks with buying a car on ebay than from anywhere else so long as you inspect it beforehand.

I almost bought a car on Ebay, but there were too many choices! Instead, I drove by the local automall spontaneously one day and walked out with my Z. Maybe next time I'll give it a shot!

I sold a car on eBay for $50K. Guy sent the wire right away sight unseen.

I bought my truck on ebay. Flew to TX & drove it home. Some problems with it, but nothing you wouldn't expect buying a used vehicle. I got a great deal & I got a truck with the exact features I wanted.

I sold a 2000 EB Ford Explorer last year on Ebay. Turns out the girl that bought it lived less than a 10 miles away. We didn't even know what state each other lived in during the bidding.

It was a great selling experience. People got caught up in the bidding and paid more than I expected. Be careful not to over-bid. Just let it go.
