$600 to spend on Snowboard, Bindings and boots - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm from Australia, in January 2005 I'm going over to Canada for a month of snowboarding. I'm looking at boards online and wanting to know what kind of setup I can get for about $US600. Hopefully invcluding Board, Bindings and Boots in that price.

I'm 188cm tall, so I've been told to look for a board about 163cm.

I'm going to have it all shipped to my buddies house in Canada so it will be waiting for me when I get there. So links to boardsites that only deliver to CA/USA are fine.

get the boots in person.. you'll be wearing them a lot and they really have to be comfortable or you won't enjoy it as much..

actually, if you're just staying for a month.. rent your board.

I've been told rental is about $30/day..

30days x $30 ... $CA900

I was going to just buy it all for around $US600.. and then sell it to one of those ex-rental shops at the end of my trip... dont know anything about them, my mate in Vancouver you should be able to sell it to them for bout half the price... so not only do i get use of brand new board and boots, but I get half the cash back at the end.. kind of like renting but with brand new shit

and half the price.

it's cheaper if you rent by the month.. but new stuff does sound more appealing. do a google for snowboards, some of the advertisers offer good deals!
