I've been told rental is about $30/day..

I was going to just buy it all for around $US600.. and then sell it to one of those ex-rental shops at the end of my trip... dont know anything about them, my mate in Vancouver you should be able to sell it to them for bout half the price... so not only do i get use of brand new board and boots, but I get half the cash back at the end.. kind of like renting but with brand new shit
and half the price.
