you really should join a racing club or take regular track visits jeff. as much as i love going fast on the street it's really fucking dangerous.

although i can't really talk because i speed religiously.

and racing is fun. but my car is nowhere near as fast as yours.

thank you man... and i never hope harm on anyone, yet i do understand the dangers of racing... but keep in mind, its not like it was heavy traffic, this was around 11:30, the road was clear, maybe a few cars, but they were all behind us or traveling the other way on the split road.. i would never race though traffic, thats just plan retarded, never endanger anyone but yourself, as the same rules should be followed by the one you are racing...

Street racing is so fucking stupid and one of the most dangerous things you can do. I know because i've street raced for years. I quit because of the new breed of idiots who can't drive are out there, everywhere, in fast cars.

Do yourself and everyone on the public roads a favor and either only race at a track or if you have no brain and continue to race, find a road where there is NO traffic, NO homes & most importantly NO signs of life besides you and other street racers and race there.

A nissan 240 sx is not a honda civic. realize that. that's apple to oranges. the 240 is rwd and was built as a sporty car. it has a nice torque curve, and a low weight. excellent gearing, and an ability in its engine to handle alot of boost.

the camaro ss may have a legacy. but a 99 camaro isn't anything special at all. they are heavy with a relatively sluggish gearset. i assume you have the 350 in that? it's a nice engine but chevy isn't exactley known for durability or the longevity of it's internal components.

What mods do you have done to your SR20DET?

Even at 400WHP you won't beat a bike until near stop speed and I thought the 240sx's were geared low...

SR20's are just 200HP stock, right?

I raced an SR powered 240 years ago, it was close, didn't have the heart to tell him I couldn't let the second turbo spool because Toyota pulled out my GCC and I'd hit boost cut at 14PSI

in all fairness when i race i absolutely DO NOT look at the other car. i keep my eyes ahead.

it's kind of the old 'never look back when you think you're ahead' philosphophy.

but i agree completly. it is definately dangerous. no bones about that. it's just so damn fun, and sometimes, you can race in an area where the 'calculated risk' is minimal.
