These new dvd players that play divx are not that new....not to long ago the first one from KiSS was like $300-400 and it was nothing special other then it played divx.

I've had terrible luck trying to burn stuff that works on DVD players and DVD players that supposedly play stuff. I finally just bought a standalone DVD recorder.

Mine was a bit over $500 but it can hold over 200 hours of video I can edit before burning to disc.
