here's the conversation (you may want to start from the bottom)

feel free to write him
(he said he doesn't care)

--------

well, now that you got that out of your system, I'll be SURE to pass this along to the FBI

a VERY PROUD American citizen!

He speaks some truths but has a bastard way of saying them and is saying them at the wrong time. By doing that he stops people from wanting to listen.

Its not about Iraq today..it it about the people that died. I do hope in the end it teaches us to respect other nations when they have massive losses..in earth quakes, etc. Now we know how they feel. I wish we didn't.

Well, out of how many on your list you got one lousy response, that's pretty good odds I'd say. This is a prime example of how stupid, ignorant and sheltered some countries keep their citizens. Look at his words, he mentions about how many times the U.S. has bombed other countries. What he DOESN'T say is why they did so, or why those fucking countries deserved it. He also calls what happened on Tuesday as a "little" thing, thus minimizing the enormity of it. he says the U.S. reacts like a bunch of pussies. LOL One can only hope that this fellow lives in an area where they will feel just how pussy-like the wrath of the U.S. and it's allies can be.

The people that attacked the US last tuesday and those behind the plan are not human in any way. Watching them get killed on CNN will be my great pleasure indeed, and I intend to watch for links on the net to any official fund that we can contribute to, to back the effort to kill these fucking animals one by one, ten by ten, or 10,000 by 10,000. Whatever it takes.

I wouldn't feel too badly about what this moron said. I wouldn't even write him back, because you can tell by his tone that his mind has been crazy-glued in place by years of false propaganda and a wrong-thinking lineage that stems all the way back before the great wars. Fuck him.

By the way folks, did I mention that Gordon Sinclair is a staff writer for the Winnipeg Free Press? I've actually spoken to the man, he's quite something.

I can assure you Lisa, virtually all Canadians share Mr. Sinclair's view. (except maybe rhizome). As for that other dickhead in your post, not worth talking about. The poor boy is just looking for attention, everyone ignore him.

I'm glad you all share my anger
(I was too upset to keep it to myself - and he asked for it)
hahaha

yep, CD, you're right! that was the only negative response (so that IS pretty good)
hehehe

I also agree with you on the justice that NEEDS to be done!

Erock, if by "non-americans" you mean us Canadians, you must remember, not only do we usually support and lend a hand to the U.S. whenever we can, but there were also a sizeable # of Canadians killed in this attack as well, both in the buildings and also as passengers on the planes. We are just as pissed as you are, believe me. You are not alone in this by a longshot.

I don't know about interpreting the rest of his statements, but this one I don't need to. It's pretty clear.

Thanks for the plug mischief It is true I don't share Mr. Sinclair's views who by the way I thought died in 1984. But at the same time the response to that ICQ was indeed reactionary and tarnished by ignorance. The question of who deserves what is pretty irrelevant since it previledges an almost Biblical understanding of justice. The U.S. didn't deserve the attack but by the same logic Iraq didn't deserve what it encountered in '91 nor will (plug in your favorite Middle East nation) deserve what it is about to encounter.

I tried to resist, but I can't.

What?? Iraq didn't deserve it? Excuse me.... Did Kuwait deserve to be invaded by Saddam's animals? Did their women deserve to be brutally raped by them? Did they deserve to have their country destroyed?

Iraq didn't get ENOUGH.

Ah, you beat me too it Amp. Bleeding hearted liberals never consider the crime, only the human rights of the perpetrators. It's exactly your thinking rhizome, that has gotten us the faint hope clause in Canada, you know, the new law that says any mass murderer/rapist/scum of the earth, should be elgible for release from prison after 15 years if they are "truly sorry". Sometimes I truly don't know what this world is coming to.

Rhizome spake thusly --

by the same logic Iraq didn't deserve what it encountered in '91

Er, what type of logic exactly is this? Iraq deserved EVERYTHIHG they got, and they actually got <u>less</u> than they deserved by a long shot. The person behind all those people dying was allowed to live on to possibly do it again in another incident, and the people of that country not only cheered for their tyrant leader but they jeered the US openly. Many Iraqui citizens were videotaped as saying the US is evil and will/must be crushed at all costs. Are you brainwashed just like them Rhizome, or are you just brainless period?

nor will (plug in your favorite Middle East nation) deserve what it is about to encounter.

I'm sure that each nation will be given every chance to give up their terrorists without so much as a scratch. It's their choice weather they come out ahead or behind the 8-ball. If they choose the latter, so be it, they will definitely without a shadow of a doubt reap what they sow and get what they deserve.

tell me Rhi, why are you so fucking clueless? I hate it when a fellow Canadian shows such stupidity in the face of such important issues. What is it exactly that you WANT Rhizome? Do you want the US to do nothing? Okay, answer me this mr pacifist... why have you not been imploring the terrorists to reconsider THEY'RE aggressive ways lately? How come you wait until AFTER the attack to make your plea for peace? Isn't your timing a bit bass-ackwards here? Aren't you pleading with the wrong people?

I think so. Now, feel free to exercise your right to come back here and shoot your mouth off at me for trying to get you to give your fucking head a shake. You're already pretty much neck-deep in it, a few more inches won't bury you. Bring it on.

CD.

It has nothing to do with being a liberal - I have no sympathy for fascism of any kind. Of course Kuwait didn't deserve what it got but since when does one action (invading a country to monopolize its oil supply) justify a completely unrelated action (leveling brutal economic sanctions leading to extreme malnutrition and hundreds of thousands of deaths)? In the same way, America's actions of removing and discouraging democracies in order to place in power their own puppet dictators does not justify indiscriminatory attacks on civilians. Like I said, it's not a question of reciprocity (to use bin-Laden's phrase). Bin-Laden is wrong to use Islamic law to justify his actions just as the U.S. is wrong in following suit. Violently attacking something completely irrelevant to the problem at hand is not a suitable way to air your grievances.

How the fuck can you possibly calculate, even if you are on dangerous levels of crack, that this, or Desert Storm, is totally unrelated?

Rhizome, I'm fully convinced you are either one of two things:

You either work for terrorists and buy into their backwards propaganda, or you are completely out of your fucking mind.

rhizome, Iraq did not want to monopolize Kuwait's oil, they wanted access to the sea. To follow, they wanted Saudi. Saudi knew exactly what was going down, and was more than happy to have the U.S. put a stop to it. The U.S. isn't responsible for starving Iraqi's, Saddam Hussein is. When you see small nations being attacked and the citizen's raped and pillaged and stripped of all their worldly possesions, (remember Saddam and Milosavic)it's fine to say, tsk tsk isn't that sad, but if the U.S. steps in to put a stop to it, they are nothing but power hungry, war mongering bastards. Where the fuck are your morals?

Amp, you owe me 10 bucks.

Rhizome, just like I bet on, there you are like clockwork. Thanks for more stupidity. I'm sorry, I just have to say that, because again you have the issues clouded like a dirty penny.

but since when does one action (invading a country to monopolize its oil supply) justify a completely unrelated action (leveling brutal economic sanctions leading to extreme malnutrition and hundreds of thousands of deaths)?

See, there you go leaving out vital facts. They did that because of Saddam Hussein's insistance on keeping his fucking chemical weapons hidden and ready to use. There were many extenuating circumstances in that storyline that you are ignoring. He was putting every country that borders Iraq in jeopardy, and THAT is why those sanctions were imposed. Your memory is selective and very short it would seem.

You seem intelligent, yet your take on current and past events is one of seeming weakness and passivity, all the while accusing those on the side of rights and freedoms of wrong-doings. "puppet dictators"?? God you are being utterly stupid here. And what's so wrong about keeping an eye on the rest of the world in order to preserve our way of life?? That's right, OUR way of life, here in Canada too we enjoy a relatively free society because of keeping the same precepts, standards and guidlines as the US does. I see nothing wrong with infiltrating another country and causing some changes IF those changes are both beneficial to the people of that country and the changes serve to preserve the peace and well-being of our own nation.

Why you have a problem with that is beyond me. This "since when does one action..." crap is just that...CRAP. It's like saying a guy murdered your sister. The authorites want to have the police go out and find your sister's killer and bring him to justice. That justice might very well be a death penalty. Are you telling me you're going to say "no, leave the killer alone. More violence would be wrong" ???? Is that what you're saying here? Because that's what it sounds like.

people like you make me sick. Get some guts.

to be honest (and no offense to you CD, you seem REALLY cool) I think what erock meant by...
"It really IS cool to hear that non-Americans are being so supportive!"

was really...
"It really IS cool to hear that other countries are being so supportive of the Americans!"

I took "non-americans" to mean "people other than those living in America"

unless, of course, I misunderstood?
(that happens sometimes when you're blonde like I am)

Rhizone,

What is your solution to the problem. Just sit back and ingnore what is going on? Last time the US did that, 40 mil Jews were anihilated.

Don't know about you but I don't want that on my conceince. What we are doing here is fighting for our freedom. Which also means we are fighting for everything that America is. The land, the people, and our way of life. If we just sit back and do nothing, whats next.

Maybe George W. should call up the guilty and accept an apology. In some situations violence does not constitute more violence. What do I need to teach my son? If a bully punches your lights out at school, just turn the other cheek and let him bash the other one. Maybe that worked 2000 years ago, but I don't remember gangs, shootings, and drugs as their major problem back then.

The best course of action is to stand up and take action. To you this might mean walking in front of a building with a picket sign. Well you are FREE TO CHOOSE to do that!

Um, CD? Just when was this? Gordon Sinclair died on May 17, 1984.

Yes, the Gordon that wrote that radio script died back then, he was quite the old fellow. Funny how, although written back in the 70's with regard to the bashing the US was taking for the whole Viet Nam thing, yet even today his words hold true to the letter.

Then you get people like Soul and others that think they know better than such a learned man as Mr. Sinclair, and call his words horseshit or drivel or whatever. Back in the 70's when he wrote that script he had forgotten more about foreign policy and international morals than guys like them will ever know.

I used to watch Mr Sinclair, Betty Kennedy, old Pierre Burton and Alan Fotheringham on "Front Page Challenge", a national political debate and TV's longest-running panel discussion. Old Gordon used to rock in those debates.
http://www.mbcnet.org/ETV/F/htmlF/fr...rontpagech.htm

Over the years, some of the show's guests included figures as diverse as Indira Gandhi--saying she would never go into politics--Eleanor Roosevelt, hockey player Gordie Howe, Tony Bennett, and Errol Flynn, along with Mary Pickford, a Canadian and one of cinema's first stars. Walter Cronkite even announced his new job as CBS anchor on the program.
