Technical hosting question
Let's say that I have a domain hosted on a dedicated server with one hosting provider, is it possible to have a subdomain of that domain hosted with a completely different hosting provider?

For example:

porn.com hosted with ISPrime

videos.porn.com hosted with Webair

???

in the DNS zone file, set up an A RECORD for support.mydomain.com (support) and enter the IP of the server this will be set up on (and set up the site on the other server of course).

exactly, but if your first hosting company hosts your domain they may not point the additional sub-domain to another provider....but you could still use an ip address or a redirect.

Using a 3rd party DNS isnt a problem as long as you know what you are doing. Mistakes with DNS can have some very serious complications for your obviously. Also, your host may not mind updating your DNS record to point a subdomain elsewhere, even if it is to a different host. Might be worth it to speak to them.
