How to copy Win XP Installation to 2nd harddrive ?

Hi guys,

does anyone know a way to copy my Win XP Installation including all programs and registry settings to a 2nd hardrive ?
The filesystem of the installation is NTFS.

Drive Copy 4 has always worked fine with Win98 and 2000 but it doesnt support Win XP yet

Are there any alternatives to Drive Copy ?

Maybe Drive Image 5 ?? But does Drive Image 5 mirror the whole harddisk ?

Andreas

You could try running the backup program that comes with Win2K/XP.

It will backup and restore to network drives.

The only hitch is you probably need a working install of some network capable OS so that you can get to the drive to plop the restore onto it. To do this with two drives on the same machine you will need enough space on the primary drive to create the backup onto it (yes you can do this with the included XP backup ap) then do a restore onto the second drive.

I haven't tried this, but I believe it should work. If you fry something, I'm sorry...this advice is worth what you paid for it
