meta tags - yes or no
I'm reading that I would be doing better with the SE's if I removed my keywords from the metatags and left them blank. Is this true ? But put them in the title.
I thought that was the point of a meta tag. WTF ?

No need to overdo it with the meta tags.
The <title> is a biggie. No harm in having a good description in the meta tag but that description should be in plain text as well. Just a couple keywords - no stuffing, and those keywords need to be in text on the page. So far I have had excellent prominence from google by focusing on the text content of the pages and not worrying about the meta tags so much which many believe (as do I) don't get much consideration these days. -Dino |
