Too bad it's not for the bulls, i went to every home bulls game from 92-98 courtesy of my father in law's company season tix. I knew there was a reason why i married her

The old stadium was so much better than the united center. Loved watching Jordan and Pippen tear up every team that came to town. I think he's too old to play now, but lets see how it goes

Power Forward? More like small foward

Can't wait till his airness gets back on the court again...the Wizards will still suck but at least they'll be fun to watch with Jordan in their lineup.

And what about Barkley, who was working out with him and supposedly was going to make a comeback with Mike?

I'm glad he's back. I will get great odds betting against him.

I'm from Chicago and have heard countless times..."Jordan scores 40, but the Bulls still lose."

I find this really sad when people can't let go of their past glories and/or youth. AT this point and time he's about as big a fucking joke as Al Bundy talking about his high school football glory days.

Now don't get me wrong...Jordan was one of the most amazing atheletes of all time if not the most amazing athelete and it will be a long time before we see another like him...but alas old man move on.

Don't be a fool. No one's stupid enough to expect that he's going to run the league again. There are many, many players that have played older than Jordan. And consider Jordan is the best player since my generation, and very arguably the best ever (I personally agree - and that includes the older folks like chamberlain back in the day), then there is no reason he can't still be a VERY effective player. Like I said, no one's saying he's going to rock the league. But he can still whoop a lot of people's asses.

Juge, I never commented on his physical abilities...but the fact that this guy retires, comes back, retires, comes back...he can't give up the spotlight or the glory. Hell I probably wouldn't be able to either and it would still be just as sad and pathetic in my opinion.

One or two things is coming into play here. #1 His ego which from some reports is bigger than Bill Gate's checkbook can't handle not being in the spotlight...think about it there's no one really to talk about in sports right now on a consistent basis other than Tiger Woods...we have spurts of Barry Bond type events on occasion but the big phenom of the moment is Tiger.

#2 He's going broke. Sure he's donating his salary to benefits helping out the WTC victims, but he's going to make the real money in getting those endorsements going again...think about it...when's the last time you saw a Jordan gatorade, Nike, or Hanes commercial...mostly Kobe going on in that realm.

In my opinion he needs to get a real life and that means get a computer, and start submitting porn galleries if he needs money that bad

And when I say "move on old man" it is time for him to move on and retire with grace and dignity and quit acting like the 22 year old we all saw hanging out at every high school party ever thrown trying to get 16 year old pussy.

Jordan's estimated worth is $395,000,000.

This has nothing to do with money.

There are a lot of people worth a lot more money who have lost it.

Ever heard of the Bass Brothers...they had to dump 2 Billion worth of stock in Disney the other day because they needed liquidity due to margin calls as well as keeping business they own afloat...just one scenario during a rocky 2 weeks on the stock market... but it happens to the best of them.

So to assume basketball players, football players, rockstars and even big business men don't ever lose their fortunes...LOL...YOU ARE FUNNY.

Personally I think it's ego that is driving him and that's why I listed it at #1... either way it's still sad and pathetic.

I think that he's gonna be rusty as hell and he doesn't got the supporting cast that he had with the Bulls, I think that he's gonna do good, but he's not gonna be the same MJ that he used to be.

Eros, when you said "move on old man", I took that as a pretty hefty shot at one of the best athletes in world, and still one of the best.

I do see your point. I don't know if it can be attributed all to his ego, though. Everyone who has ever commented on him, who has played against him, said that his desire to win, his competitiveness, is greater than anyone they've ever seen. Jordan himself has commented on this, when he was practicing with the original dream team, he said the other guys were just fooling around. Jordan always gives it his all whether it's a practice or a real game. He said he realized that that is was separated him among the others. Imagine that - he's in another league even among arguably the 12 best basketball players on the planet.

I for one, agree, based on what I've seen and heard from other players. I've heard players talk about practices with him, when one man gets the best of him for just one move (it has to happen, the guy?s not superman, even though he?s the closest thing), and Jordan goes nuts on the guy for the remainder of the practice. He can't have someone out-doing him for even a second. He once lost a ping-pong (table tennis) match against another team member, and he practiced at it until he could kick everyone's ass. How many people do you know are like that? Probably none. Definitely none at his extreme level.

It?s so easy for people just to say he has a big ego and wants to be in the spotlight and wants more money. But the truth is far from it. Jordan wasn?t even one of the highest paid players when he was playing, after it was very evident that he was the best in the league. Do you think he cared about money? Or that he was broke? Yes, he did have a lot from endorsements, but I am sure he still has a few dollars in the bank. I mean, doesn?t he own a few rather expensive things, like some sports teams. Jordan can go in a commercial any time he wishes to make a few extra bucks.

Remember also that his dad died a rather tragic death, one that Jordan himself didn?t want to know the reason of, after his 3rd championship. No one can put themselves in his shoes to fully understand the reasons he quit at that time.

I could understand that maybe he doesn?t like that Kobe is in the limelight, especially considering that he is not even half of what Jordan was. But to attribute him coming back for those measily reasons is rather ridiculous.

I?m not trying to say I know it all, I think the smartest thing is to understand that we don?t know it all, and to state that it?s happening for just a few simple reasons and largely ignoring other possibilities is wrong.

But, personally, I think if anyone deserves to have an ego, it?s Michael Jordan... if you don't like, it, go fuck yourself. Or better yet, become the best player at some sport until you are so good you can reinvent the game and become bigger than it.

It's so typical of people to say 'yawn', or 'he aint shit anymore'. He's still better the majority of the league. Yet, you guys will still bitch that he's not still the best. Of course he's not.

Hmm..I didn't assume anything. I said, Michael Jordan has not lost all his money. Pretty clear statement. But it's good that I'm funny :-)

Well put.

I mean, I just think it will be fun to watch him no matter how good he is.
