How much money do you need to live?

My monthly bills on the personal tip are under $2.5k... I keep it pretty basic.

Probably about $3k-$5k. I really should do better accounting to know exactly what goes out each month.

in dollars:

$1k for my baby mommas

$2k for my very basic needs - food, mortgate, bills.

My spending has been pretty ridicolous lately - $7.5 a month

I need a pay cut to learn to appreciate money again and make better use of it

I'm not lucky. I've learnt what is important and what is not important to spend money on.

Before I sold my house, I lived basically off the same amount. Maybe a little more, ~$1500.

Most people can get by on $50K to $100K, if they had to, although that pretty much just covers the rawest basics these days.

Where do you guys live that you can pay your bills with $1000 or less a month? I'm not some big baller, I just finished school and im still balling on a budget, but I need atleast $2500 to be able to live.

$900 for rent
$50 for internet
$40 for phone bill
$25-35 for cell phone
$50 cable TV
$250 for groceries
$35 for membership at the gym
$150-200 for gas
$300 for hosting
$500 for car lease
$200-$300 for whatever else

While I was going to school I had a little business going where I saved up lots of money to pay tuition, rent, expenses, etc. I graduated last january and have been living off my savings for a while, plus minimal income from online shit, but mainly focused on the long run and getting my website up and running.. I go through atleast 5k between clubbing, buying clothes and other stuff. But I couldnt imagine how I would survive with less then $2500 a month, I'd probably be banging on my parents door saying I need to move back in. *knocks on wood*

Well do you really need a $500 car? Cell phone AND regular phone Hell just have cell phone service. You're going to be wherever you cell phone is aren't you? Or get Packet 8 VoiP $20 a month instead of the $40 you're paying now. $35 a month for gym? Sit-ups and push ups can be done at home for FREE. Also, get a weight set from wal-mart.
