This isn't about "determining" something. I said very clearly: Identify..., not determine,... identify Gary's reference to race in his statement. I belive his exact word was "society".

Words are important. They have specific meanings. Don't twist something into a perverted version of what YOU want it to be. Gary has already clearly stated his intent regarding that statement, yet you continue with this childish finger-pointing game.

He may come across on the boards as a goof, or maybe sometimes an asshole, but he is in fact a very stable individual(as long as he takes his meds...) with many good ideas.

Your outlook is flawed somewhat.

There are lots of people that are most important, valuable, etc than you or I.

I we got killed there would be several people that would suffer and mourn our deaths but... if someone like the president, pope, or Jesse jackson for that matter, there could be a war started.

I agree that all human life has the potential to be of equal importance.

The fact, though, is that some people's death/life do not impact the world as much as others.

I would like to point out for anyone reading this post, without reading the original from which Gary's comments were taken, that Gary's statement is taken totally out of context for you.

There is an entire thread based on the "value of life" question, and many different views were defined.

Just thought this would be a good thing to point out, for those that missed the original. Gary's statement might seems a little ut of place without that background info.
