Memorable Quotes from "Demolition Man" LeninaHuxley: I have, in fact, perused some newsreels in the Schwartzenegger Library. JohnSpartan: Hold it. The Schwartzenegger Library? LeninaHuxley: Yes. The Schwartzenegger Presidential Library. Wasn't he an actor when you... JohnSpartan: But how? He was President? LeninaHuxley: Yes! Even though he wasn't born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment which states... JohnSpartan: I don' wanna know. President. |

They did write that to be president of the United States of America, you HAD to be born in the country. If they wrote it, maybe they meant it, no ? If they didn't want mariage to be anything else than man & woman, well they would have written it ... And don't tell me that gays only started existing after the american constitution .... :1orglaugh Quote:
Are you one that voted RED ...NECK :1orglaugh |

Why does anyone say, "It would take a constitutional amendment, will never happen"? People overwhelmingly showed how willing they are to change state constitutions this past election. These are the same people who would be voting this amendment in, with the express goal of clearing the way for Arnold to run. And personally I think he would beat Hillary or a re-run of John Kerry with a much bigger spread than Bush had over Kerry.
You think the moralists came out this time? Just let Hillary run. Why do you think Sean Hannity excitedly says he welcomes a Hillary candidacy with open arms? |
Demolition man was this a prediction :Graucho

That scenario has been around many years before the movie script.

I hope he's allowed to run by popular vote. Then I will vote democrat. And the democrat will win and he will lose but spend hundred of millions of dollars and talk a lot. That would be fun.

2. I'm almost positive you're taking that quote out of context. 3. I see no reason why a naturalized citizen shouldn't be allowed to be president. Immigrants as a whole appreciate America and the opportunities there in far more then native born citizens who simply take America for granted. 4. Welcome to 2 weeks ago. |

Also, he has used his movie paychecks to build a huge financial empire for himself (which a stupid man could not have done unless he had a REALLY honest financial advisor), which he is now using to help his home state. How many governors give up their paychecks and donate extra money to the state treasury when the state is in financial trouble? My governor took that time to sell road contruction contracts for the area around his neighborhood (which didn't need road work, although the major interstates did) and took a kickback as a sort of sales commission. All this was while our state stopped issuing state employee's paychecks for 2 weeks due to an empty treasury. |
A pro-choice (read not Christian right), fiscal conservative republican, hell that'd be a huge improvement on the current flavor.

Actually i don't have any problem with that. If he thinks he can prove the whole America that he's competent enough to be a President why not. But choose wisely!!! Pleasee!!!:)

Arnold is doing agood job as gov. but he wont become president... I don't think people would pass that kinda of legislation since over 38 states would have to approve it... and polls I have seen think he is doing a good job but arn't willing to change the constitution.

oh my gosh!

And why should Indians run Casinos tax free ? |
I think Casinos should be taxed no matter where they are. And for Casinos on reservations especially because it's mostly non-Indians reaping the profits from them despite what the public perception is.
As for Arnie, I'm confident we could find a homegrown American out of the 250 million Americans in the country for the position of President instead. |
