Muahaa!!! Dumb CBS Bitch Gets Fired For Fucking Up CSI With 'Arafat Dead' Broadcast
Years ago when I was a kid, we were watching a football game and NBC cut into the last few minutes to show 'Heidi'. The team was down and during this bullshit they won but we didn't know because 'Heidi' was on. There was damned near civil war. Now this happens to CSI fans. Last few minutes of the show some stupid CBS news bitch decides to jump the gun and broadcast that Arafat was dead. Like she couldn't wait 5 fucking minutes til the 11:00 O'clock news???
http://www.broadcastingcable.com/ind...cleID=CA480150 CBS Axes Producer for Arafat Cut-In By Allison Romano -- Broadcasting & Cable, 11/12/2004 2:55:00 PM CBS News has axed a news producer who cut into prime-time programming Wednesday night to report the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The staffer, a female senior producer for CBS?s overnight newscast Up to the Minute, broke in to CSI: N.Y. shortly before 11 p.m. with the report, outraging viewers who missed the end of the crime drama. CBS apologized for the interruption Thursday, saying an ?overly aggressive? staffer ?jumped the gun on a report that should have been offered to local stations for their late news.? As for the producer?s dismissal, a CBS spokesperson said Friday, ?We do not comment on personnel issues.? CBS planned to repeat the CSI: N.Y. episode Friday night to placate viewers. An executive at a rival broadcast network said the whole situation left them puzzled. ?I think people here were scratching their heads over the decision to break in, and then scratching it even harder over the apology for breaking in,? the exec says. ?And now we?re wondering what kind of process they have in place to take the network to a special report.? |

It is the American way, never let real world events that can effect your live and the lives of millions interfere with entertainment.
We live is a very odd world indeed. |

Listen. I'm sad that the guy died. And things like that happen. However they could wait 10 minutes to broadcast.

She was probably trying to follow the media "whoever airs the story first wins"-type rule
I remember that football game... ![]()

She will sue and win.
The fact of the matter is, the guy for all intents and purposes was a world leader.. he might not have been a good one but non-the-less a world leader he was. That was news worthy of interrupting a broadcast for because.. it was true. Regards, Lee |

She would have been fired if she didn't cut into the broadcast, because CBS wouldn't have been the first to break it. The woman had a double-edged sword to her throat.

It wasn't even 10 minutes....more like 3 minutes until the show was over. It could have waited 3 friggin' minutes. It wasn't like we didn't know all day the old fucker was gonna be dead any minute.
