yes, that is my understanding of the issue

AmateurFlix 11-12-2004 01:47 PM

Damn that sucks.

Since the 10th I'm only at 1:3646 for tfcash sites (not including today's unreported hits, should be about another 1000 or so) and 0:1654 for dieselaction.

Anybody else seeing any sales for teenflood, teenkarma, or mashaworld during this time period? I normally do about 1:1000 for diesleaction so that's not really enough data to go by but for teenflood somewhere around 1:650 is the norm...

Then i suggest you ask around in the office again, since the 'lost' sales were not updated. Only the processing since the last 2/3 hours is being showing correctly.

phuner 11-12-2004 01:57 PM

my stats for yesterday...

after 180K unique visitors i have made 1 sale with kristina fey - $17.97

i'm really impressed with ccbill.

But see, as an affiliate, I'm not able to check the password files and see if anyone joined or not. So, I have to trust that what CCBill is reporting is accurate, when in fact I have no way of knowing if it is or is not. In the past, I've always trusted CCBill like no other, but this is making my uneasy. My CCBill affiliate joins are still at 0 for today which is extremely, extremely odd, but how am I to know if it's a reporting issue or if today is just an absolutely horrid day for conversions for nearly 75 CCBill sites that I promote? Clicks are still not showing as well.

Nasty 11-12-2004 03:29 PM

Same old ccbill song and dance for the same old broke ass system, never felt they were crooked, I think they run a honest company, one of the few honest companies in our business but I think their system is overlloaded and prone to failures, and failures are getting more and more common and costing me more and more money

Today is normal.. I have spoken with several site owners...

The only thing that differfs is the amount of affiliate sales they had... ofcause fewer affiliates sales than whats normal... go figure :)

I am lucky that I can get the data from some of the websites I am promoting... And I will, tomorrow...
I will compare it to the joinpagehit-log I have made for my self... I also made a test sign up this morning "local time" ( 17 hours ago ) still havent showed up in my stats...

gazool 11-12-2004 04:15 PM

I made the test sign up in the "dead period = 14 hours" let's just see if it turns up... ( 17 hours ago )

If it doesnt... doesn't that also say that other sales during that period didn't get credited to the affiliates?

And tomorrow I will compare IP/TIMESTAMPS from the users I sent to the joinpage with IP/TIMESTAMPS from the members area... could be funny if I find alot of IP's hitting the members area a few minutes after hitting the joinpage, in a period where I had NO sales ( 14 hours )

My CCBILL stats for the day...

$0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 103 $0.00
0:0

Yes, that does say 103 clicks... that is almost laughable, so long as I do get my clicks and the subsequent sales that go along with them in the end.

103 clicks.. You all must take me for a fucking turnip...

OK now yesterday,

$0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 1,583 $0.00
0:0

ZERO $$$ but atleast they are counting some of my clicks... Still not near what I am actually sending them.

2 days ago:
$0.00
0 $0.00
0 $14.65
1 $13.97
1 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $28.62
2 2,276 $0.01
1:2276.0

More clicks, a sale and a rebill... Looking more like it should.

I have never trusted CCBILL's stats. You never show me the true number of clicks. Don't talk to me like I am a fucking shithead. I know what you will say. Well, people close the window, don't click on the opened window, 2nd clicks, what ever... I know I send you over 3,000 clicks a day because you used to count them about 2 months ago. Now you don't and my signups reflect it and I am getting sick and tired of excuses... If the digital age isn't working out for you then outsource some workers you can afford and do it all by hand.

V_RocKs 11-12-2004 04:48 PM

$0.00
0 $0.00
0 $14.65
1 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $14.65
1 7,670 $0.00
1:7670.0

BTW, this was a day a month ago...

7,600 clicks from the same traffic I am sending now... And yes, you only credited me one signup on that day... go figure!

$12.49
2 $0.00
0 $17.97
1 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $0.00
0 $30.46
3 6,363 $0.00
1:2121.0

Another day last month... Notice my clicks... today you say I sent 103 or some shit? haha... fucking unbelievable!

Anna_O 11-12-2004 05:19 PM

Looking at our stats for october, it says that four sales has rebilled and next rebill is scheduled for december 11th. Looking at November 11th (yesterday) stats it only shows two of them. Why is this?

A test signup that doesn't show up 17 hours later is anything but normal. And as always we affiliates get screwed. Go figure.

There's a very real problem at CC Bill. For me it started on 11-8.

We all need to do test signups to determine whether or not CC Bill is working and how long their stats take to reflect signups.

18teens 11-12-2004 07:29 PM

I just did my test signup. Now we'll wait and see.

go to join page, click on "signup" and then check referral id in html source code (search for word "ccbill_referer")

in mozilla firefox, there is some other affiliate id?!?!?!
in internet explorer, my affiliate_id is missing?!?!

maybe that's the problem with ccbill and 'missing' sales

Your referral id is not there in Internet Explorer. I viewed source and that entire field is missing.

In all fairness, I just checked and my test signup was credited by CC Bill at the exact time that I made it - down to the exact minute :)

Could you please PUBLICLY comment on this? This effects a HUGE amount of webmasters.

18teens 11-12-2004 09:03 PM

The field missing is:
<input type=hidden name=ccbill_referer value='825814'>

It should come right after:
<input type=hidden name='serviceInfo' value=''>

Them should come:
<input type=hidden name=referingURL value='http://www.referrer.com/'>

And then:
<input type=hidden name=referingDestURL value=''>

That field is missing as well as the ones that follow it.

Snake 11-12-2004 09:10 PM

no way to check if transactions are missing or not, since i'm an affiliate, but this 1:100 ratio is rather unusual :1orglaugh

now seriously, clicks stopped at 600 :helpme

Snake 11-12-2004 09:51 PM

In all fairness to CCBill, I did notice that Paycom has similar problems when you look at the source. Looking at some of my TCG stuff, I noticed my affid was viewable in Firefox, but when using IE6, it's not, doesn't even exist.

So, what does this mean. Not much. The program operators still make the same amount of signups, so they don't "see" anything on their end to make them investigate.

If you look at the source code of the sign up page, it's a clusterfuck of shit in IE6. But look at it in Firefox and it's like back in the day when you could always find your affiliate code in the source.

The scripts must not be running right on IE or someone has figured out a way to exploit the scripts.

That's my 2 cents, what's yours?

I know that computers crash and that programs have bugs, problems, melt downs, etc... And I know that nobody is excempt from that, not even CCBill.
But I think that they will get any problems straight. We are talking CCBill here, not iBill.
I have my trust on them. (CCBill that is)

How does this affect people like myself that push heavy through programs like TCG? I have been bitching at my TCG contact for 3 days straight that a site I have been pushing hard (processed by CCbill) is all of the sudden converting like total shit. They tell me everything looks normal and I have no reason not to believe them they have always taken good care of me. This isn't just a slump but 3-5xs worst then my historical norm.

Is my decline due to something else (a coincidence) or does it have something to do with the issues brought to light in this thread? I am real curious and concerned that I pissed away a lot of paid traffic the past 2 days.

Snake 11-12-2004 11:04 PM

Bill,
I sent another email. Still not looking good on my end. We'll see how things look tomorrow.
Right now I'm looking at FTVgirls.com hosted galleries and the code is not showing. I think this one is on the program operator though.
Later!

Snake 11-12-2004 11:16 PM

FuriousMale, I'm on a 3 day slump with TCG also, and like I said, the signup still goes thru, even without your code. So TCG doesn't see anything abnormal, and everything seems good on their end.
My signups for them are at about 50% of normal production. Something is wrong, but I can't figure it out.
If you use Firefox you'll see your codes in the source, if not, good luck, they disappear, so it's another microsoft issue most likely.
TCG was using Paycom when I checked, but they do also use CCBill, but it's probably some sort of exploit of the script files used to process that's fucking up everyones week!

Dear CCBill,
Please turn click tracking back on for my account, it has been frozen all day. While I realize this is an easy way to lower my ratios it is disturbing to my mental health to see only 875 clicks at the end of a day.
I do thank you for at least turning on the sales reporting so I can see how rich I am, but it would be nice if you could even it out so I do not have huge chunks of time with no sales, simply averaging it out at least would make my mentally unstable brain happy.

Thanks!

Unfortunately the issue has not been solved. I just about choked to death when I saw my stats five mins ago. ALL sales save ONE new signup..GONE from yesterday's earlier stats. Called support, and was told there is an "issue" (an understatement) with the stats but nothing can be done until later on this morning.

I know there is heavy heavy traffic due to IBill transfers, but this is a matter that really needs 24/7 attention!

Held off saying ANYTHING in this thread (though this week has been one of my worst ever for signups) until I saw the final stats for yesterday..11/12/04

MISSING TEST SIGN UP!!!

Maybe this is the reason, but I doubt it...
Yesterday I made a test sign up in the "dead period"... It hasn't come through, and so has NO sales in that 14 hour dead period!

That's right! I made a test sign up, I checked that my ID was in the form html source ( ccbill_referrer )... But I didn't get credited!!!

This is more than 24 hours ago, I'd like to hear a good explanation to that :feels-hot

I have screen shots of the whole deal...

steve90 11-13-2004 03:23 AM

my stats have not updated since like 2 am on nov 12

Well basically, you can have CCBill post (in real-time) all transaction information to a URL you specify whenever someone signs up, rebills, cancels, etc....

Simply setup a simple transactions DB, make that URL store the info as you like and code a tool to view this data as you wish.

Then you will always have the accurate / real stats, as well as being able to compare with what CCBill shows. The only place you'd still have a problem is if their postback feature isn't working, which to my knowledge hasn't happened yet...
