Compliment / tear apart my photography site

And yes, I know.. the "Aspiring Models" page is not online yet.

Partnered up with a few buddies, bought a $1000 Konica Minolta Dimage A2 8.3megapixel digital camera, a tripod.. lighting and backdrops coming soon. Now all we need is studio space Hopefully outdoor shoots and hotel rooms are accomidating for the 18-year-old college students.

I like the page. For some reason I knew you would choose that main logo from your contest. Good job.

Your composition is very good.

I like your colour and sepia work.

But the greyscales look very dull and flat. How are you doing the conversion to greyscale?

Quite poorly Haven't experimented yet so thus far I've just Desaturated the image in Photoshop and adjusted the Levels, Curves, Brightness, and Contrast accordingly.

The last photo in the portfolio is supposed to look grainy and dark, that's not simply extremely poor conversion skills

Too much blue. Not enough contrast.

Too amateurish-looking. Looks like something I can do with both hands tied behind my back... Blind-folded... With MSPaint.

Wtf do pictures of a couch have to do with photographing models. I see no correlation.

Bottom line, hire a designer.

I wasn't going for professional Found the shades of blue to be easy on the eyes.

We're also shooting stock photography in addition to models. And until we've shot models, there's nothin to put in the portfolio but those

Main site looks promising, but the rest is just poor. Get better styled gallery with sharper pictures. You definitely lack the post-processing skills that are needed for good web photographs.

Also, if you are looking for models it is good idea to have al least some portraits shot to show your work, not just woods.

Also, the asporing models link doe snot work.

Gallery is up temporarily just as a display of a few of our photos. Still building the PHP script / database that will handle our portfolio, and haven't yet had the time to properly adjust coloring/sharpening of the photos displayed there.

Being that this is still a start-up and not even up-and-running, we have no models Booking a few classmates and friends (females) to shoot for this part of the portfolio. Hopefully this will be complete soon.

Still compiling all the information for the Aspiring Models page. Should be done tonite

Thanks for all your insight!
