Quite poorly
Haven't experimented yet so thus far I've just Desaturated the image in Photoshop and adjusted the Levels, Curves, Brightness, and Contrast accordingly.
The last photo in the portfolio is supposed to look grainy and dark, that's not simply extremely poor conversion skills
