Question about a job application.

There is this job offer.
It's for a private company.

They want a PR person and that's what I am graduating in.

I have all the experience required including HTML experience and webpage maintenance....

NOW, the issue is, the only HTML proof I have is my TGP's.

Would it be ok, if they ask, that I mention I worked creating adult oriented websites?

Or should I create a FAKE page for occasions like this.

What would you do?

I would make FAKE pages. Heck, not people are as open minded and liberal as we are. When it comes to money, do what you got to do. But if it's a corporate company, they will look at their (image) and may alienate against you.

Do not tell them you work in Adult, you will not get the job, very simple.

2 things:

1) Create fake pages on domains that appear to be legit websites, or just borrow someone elses.

2) Get some friends in Adult to act as refs for you. Most people in this industry are well acqainted with dealing with dodging the adult variable.

I can tell you from experience, you will not get the job if you say anything about adult.

I got a related question, how does this sound for "recent job title" on a resume when looking for a job:

Web Developer

Successfully developed and maintained an Internet based business while focusing on a marketing and advertising strategy needed to generate exposure and revenue while attending college.

The only thing is though, web developers that are being hired are required to know a lot of shit that I have no clue about, what would be a better replacement for that, anyone?

Web Developer is a broad term, leave it alone, your skills should be listed in your resume anyways.

However, that sentence needs work.

----
Developed and maintained successful ecommerce business while remaining vigilant in my pursuit of a college education; which focused primarily on ecommerce marketing relative to generating online exposure and revenue.

-------

That will work better.

Tell them all your past clients made you sign confidentiality agreement, and that you have to honor it. Makes you seem trustworthy. Tell them you'll create some things just for them to show your skills

List your skills?

Basically, I was saying leave the title in place. If Weg hired a Web Developer, when looking over resumes, we would look at the skills you list.

A Web Developer could be anything from someone who knows msql and html to someone that writes php, or all.

Well, I'm refering the initial statement of "Or should I create a FAKE page for occasions like this." As in creating sample/fake business sites/examples.

telling about the adult oriented websites, might let lessen the chances of you being accepted for the job.

It is all about selling yourself.. And the adult industry online has always been on the cutting edge of web technologies.. So explain to them that by hiring you they will get more than all the others would be able to offer them..
