he totally destroyed a man's job - Dave Wamstedt - a family goes along with that, they will now have to pick and move down the road to another city - ruined a football season for a few million Miami fans - Ricky Williams has had a reputation as a weirdo and flake forever - nothing wrong with being a weirdo or flake, I liked him for that but when you impact other peoples' lives with your selfishness then you go from flake to piece of shit status.

the rest of the NFL should stand behind Dave Wamstedt and the Dolphins and blackball his ass out of the league. won't happen of course.

bwaaaaaaahahahaahaha - u think Ricky WIlliams retired. he's not, not for long. he jerked around a team at the last minute, thought he would get around some fines and suspension the NFL had waiting for him - take a trip around the world, smoke his weed and come back next year and make some more millions. But he is a grade A idiot and didn't realize that most of the bonus money he was paid would have to be paid back.

he gave the Dolphins no time to make alternative plans, via the draft or trades, he fucked them over royally.

he should be blackballed.

the point isn't if Wannstedt is a good or bad coach, Ricky Williams sealed his fate tho. He's not the worst coach, better than alot in the NFL, he may or may not have been fired this year had Williams not pulled this shit. Wannstedt never had a QB in Miami or Chicago - it's why they took away any power he had over personnel in Miami.

I don't think his reasons were sketchy, he made it pretty clear in interviews I saw. He said he didn't like playing anymore, didn't like running up and down a field all day risking serious injury for money, and wanted to do something better with his life like teach. The only reason he's coming back is because he signed a fucked up deal in the first place and they're forcing him to pay back almost everything he's made, a lot of which I'm sure has been spent.

You can't say that Ricky's the cause of all this. It's simply not true.

I've been a Fish fan since 72, even during the bad years, and I'm still a fan today.

But Mike Price was right with his full page ad in the Herald last year -- it's time for Wannstedt to move on.
