bwaaaaaaahahahaahaha - u think Ricky WIlliams retired. he's not, not for long. he jerked around a team at the last minute, thought he would get around some fines and suspension the NFL had waiting for him - take a trip around the world, smoke his weed and come back next year and make some more millions. But he is a grade A idiot and didn't realize that most of the bonus money he was paid would have to be paid back.

the point isn't if Wannstedt is a good or bad coach, Ricky Williams sealed his fate tho. He's not the worst coach, better than alot in the NFL, he may or may not have been fired this year had Williams not pulled this shit. Wannstedt never had a QB in Miami or Chicago - it's why they took away any power he had over personnel in Miami.

Wannstedt will get hired as a co-ordinator very quickly or he will take one of several offers to be a head coach in the NCAA Division 1.

I don't think his reasons were sketchy, he made it pretty clear in interviews I saw. He said he didn't like playing anymore, didn't like running up and down a field all day risking serious injury for money, and wanted to do something better with his life like teach. The only reason he's coming back is because he signed a fucked up deal in the first place and they're forcing him to pay back almost everything he's made, a lot of which I'm sure has been spent.
