GFY'ers that do a lot of PC Gaming

...tell me something...do a lot games now a days being released, still not support Internet Multiplayer Action? I remember back in the day when I gamed, a lot of games only supported LAN, but not online gaming.

Is this still the case?

Release dates are usually pushed back. 9 times out of 10, if they aren't...the product isn't ready and will be patched quite a bit from the start.

Lots of new games have the multiplayer function. Why? Those games sell better and easier + the system is old and cheaper then a year agow.

I think 8 of the 10 new games has the function nowadays

Happy?

Most games have online multiplayer these days, although that obviously only goes for games that are suitable for multiplayer in the first place.

I was wondering if they all have it now, or if there was still some that think LAN is the way to go because of bandwidth

im workin on a game modification, a 'total conversion' if you will, for a popular pc fps game called FarCry.

http://hard.fraggers.com

aside from that, theres plenty of pc games now that support internet multiplayer. Plentyyyyy.

Off the top of your head, can you think of any good ones that don't - and how popular would they be?

well in the fps genre (first person shooter), ........ plenty. Both retail and free (like ameriicas army, a fps game dev;d by THE us army and available free - quite popular actually

other genres like rpg and mmorpg ,. etc, im not into those but i know they are very popular and have substantial multiplayer, like warcraft and everquest, the sims, blah hlayhlahlahlashlshlsh

blah

i prefer games where you aim and kill.

far cry single player is pretty damn unforgetful - yet they lacked in the MP aspect - thankfully, so people like me can come in and mod an unforgetable MP.

Oh big time!

I got hooked on 'Jedi Academy' and 'Jedi Outcast'.

I can't get enough of 'Academy'. Not only is it multiplayer there are a ton of servers out there. Each one customized.

I'll tell you, this game I spend extra time on modding, skinning, map making. If you know what you're doing you can modify the entire damned thing into something brand new and then offer that mod for others to d/load and multiplayer online.

Same with Star Trek Voyage Elite Force and many, many others. Just check out the game modding sites and you'll see what I mean.
